Sophitia Combos

Awesome stuff! Find anything on LH K? I've been doing 2BB:4

Edit: HolyCarp did some testing and found that TAS B:4 or CE does the most damage as a follow up
Those do appear to be highest damage to me as well, I'll add them momentarily. In soul charge it is 2BB4. It seems like that 4 followup is not affected by combo damage scaling for some reason.

I am getting 55 damage for this combo, 42 and 13. It is interesting that the game does not consider it a combo, but there is no way out of it. In prior games when that happened, the opponent could lessen the damage by not pressing any buttons, but that does not seem to be the case either. I'll list it as another combo for ease of input,

Yup looks like I was mis-remembering the damage. Thanks for the correction

in the sophie discord people were saying this only works vs male characters
It has to do with the size and shape of their hitbox in the air, which governs how early WR B+K can hit them on the way down. So far I have not been able to do it to Asta and can get it on Siegfried. Poor Sieg, Sophie always gets free damage against him. I'll list it as character specific. If anyone could get me a list of who it works on that would be great.

For CH 6K I would add 44B+K as an option or as a replacement for 66B. 49 dmg and execution is easier than TAS B

Its also a very Cass-like combo lol

I didnt list 44B+K as a combo because I could tech it as sophie. Is there a charater or set of characters who it is guaranteed against?

Good question. Will test when I am home. Could you tech in all directions or was specific?

Ah, I'm an idiot, I was testing with 22B+K which gets the 10 frames of side step tacked on. You're right, this is a better combo. I'll add it soon.

Under what conditions? Can you tech as Sophie? I was back and forth on that one because I had people getting out in matches, but I couldn't do it myself when I set a recording and tried to escape. I thought I was failing to react on time or something like that.

Either way 3K should not be escapable.

Also, for the adventurous, Sophie's tech trap situation from SC IV seems to mostly hold for that knockdown if you want to look for that info in her old SA.

/edit/ I tested again and still cannot get out, nor can the computer set to ukemi randomly. I need some more details about why it is failing for you
I'M TRAVELING SO I COULDN'T REPLY.

I RECORDED THE COMBO MANUALLY AND ESCAPED IT MYSELF. I REMEMBER 22A, 4B FAILING ON TALIM. I HAVEN'T TRIED EVERY CHARACTER.

I'm guessing it's like SCIV where 22A ~ 4B was escapable by a lot of the cast I think.
That's interesting because thought I remember that being a combo against the whole cast in IV unless you stepped far to the side of the opponent as part of the 22A sidestep.

Yeah I see it. she can get out CCW under almost all circumstances.

Also I tested 3K some and it often fails if significantly off axis.

1K seems like it works though.

Tbh, "most of the cast" was a bit of an assumption on my part. I definitely remember Setsuka, Mitsurugi, and Sophia herself being able to escape it. 3K seems like it's Omega's (comparatively awful) version so that one whiffs a bit too yeah. It's a shame we've lost 1B because that was a great follow up since they're still on the ground. Oh well, 1K will have to do.
