I'm definitely going to give this a try. The last 2 or 3 games were meh. Didn't finish Sun/Moon and didn't even bother getting ultra sun/moon. I like what i'm seeing so far. Especially Corviknight and Impidimp.

I guess it won't matter. They will all evolve looking uncannily human like. Which I don't want for a starter.

but you could use everstone, anything to get rid of the horrible design.

True, but for me to enjoy a Pokemon game I want to evolve my Pokemon team to their full potential; including the starter I choose. Makes for a nice immersion for me.
