  • Wonky connection is ruining my fun lately. And I got my first "you did not end the match properly" notice thanks to it today.
It breaks my heart when they never fail block the mid mix-up, meaning if all I ever did was low I'd hit every single time.
Getting better at beating reckless players who do nothing but attack, but I have to stop letting them draw me into their kind of fight.
Getting serious about learning Ivy now in hopes that she'll be an antidote to all the paint-by-numbers Mitsurugis out there.

He does bad things to everyone, I thought maybe she could do some bad things back with all those long range attacks. Meh... not really interested in Cervantes. At least I'm getting better at beating him with Siegfried, though if I take Leixia and they take Mistu, oh noes...

Sieg's not a bad pick really. He can keep him out somewhat and kind of keep up with him damage wise. Leixia actually isn't too bad against him but you have to be really really patient and control your space around you with her AA and BB.

Won some tough matches against pretty good players recently. But still very vulnerable to Natsus and Mitsurugis who do nothing but attack.

I don't live in Iowa I just know people who live there. If you wanna get in contact with them try talking to Xiang who is a Tekken/SC player who hosted a tourney in Cedar Rapids last month which I went to.

If you ever see a post of mine that isn't grammatically correct please correct me. I like to improve my writing in every way I can.

Gladly! In that last post, the adverbial clause that begins with "if" requires either an explicitly stated subject or a subject pronoun. "Us" technically doesn't work since it's an object pronoun.

I should also mention that in this case "Americans" probably seemed like enough of an explicitly stated subject that you didn't instinctively use "we" like you normally would have. But, since it was part of the subject you have to combine it with the subject rather than object pronoun.
I'm still pretty terrible all around, but I've gotten to where I'm starting to get kicked from lobbies for beating everyone. Yay!

Too bad you're on PSN. It's pretty rare that I get to go up against someone who's at about the same level. Usually they're either way higher or way lower.

You will find the gap between "bad" and "competent" to be bigger than you expect. Competent people then tend to herd into groups which intermingle with the better players. My suggestion: Play randoms for matchup experience; but populate your friends list with competent players.
I want to make more coffee, but I'm worried my heart will explode since I already drank eight cups earlier today.

You're reminding me of a certain coffee addict from the Ace Attorney Series..
A no ringout stage is a good sign that you're about to go toe to toe with a total douchebag.

Oh lol sry you said 'no ringout stage' guess I didn't see that typo. I sometimes get confused when the same person online chooses the same stage each time we play and I get an easy wall combo on them as Natsu <:Ic Silly people.

Natsu is evil. -_- But, in this case, a lot of times it's Cervantes players who want more space to use their unblockable and won't have to worry about ringing themselves out with a careless flying charge.

Hmm I generally have little problem with Cerv but given I don't play him that often. From what i've played against his horizontals seem pretty weak so I find that a side-step fest beats an OK cerv player pretty bad.
It would definitely help a lot if I could learn to actually recognize different characters' attacks and block them.

It'll come in time. The you'll start to recognize animations.
So, two way, way more experienced guys came into our lobby but would never fight each other, were just trying to rack up wins. The point?

They could have known each other. I don't play Hawkeye online or at tournaments because I play him all the time.
I'm a killing machine in the lab, but can't get the right moves to come out of my characters to save my life on the field.
Getting better, but still too many totally wrong moves coming out of my characters. Random harmlessly swishing AA... FAIL!
There needs to be a special F rank for rage quitters. And their titles should be changed to "FAILS AT LIFE".

Yesterday I was 30/0 and people would come into the room and quit after the second round "I don't play with spammers" one said. Literally a Voldo who didn't sidestep and tried to beat my Pyrrha Omega out on hits. Needless to say I 236B:4'd and 236236B:4'd him to death, ALTERNATING between the 2 and 1K.
