Finally finished the game for good. Some levels and bosses can be beaten by attacking recklessly in normal mode, but, except for the 'orb bosses', hard mode definitely requires you to pay attention to the patterns and have your counters ready. The robotic crab/spider, the dual flame canister...
I got this for the weekend and it has been awesome. I am actually surprised they are selling a game this good for only $15. I haven't played Strider or Metroid before, but this certainly reminds me of Castlevania with the abilities, entrance locks and map layout. Be sure to try it out!
I have been playing the Japanese version of Lost Swords for a bit, but it is a huge letdown for me. Reasons being:
1. Freemium pay to continue/win model
2. Shop no longer works and takes me back to the Playstation home screen because the game crashes
3. Ridiculously slow load times (perhaps...
I guess that could be an interesting perspective of looking at online multi-player. However, I just want to have something to strive for in the Soul Calibur universe after collecting all the titles in quick battle mode, achieving A1 without ragequitting online and getting all the trophies in the...
I only enjoy and know how to use Setsuka/Alpha Patroklos competently, and learning another character seems to conflict with my muscle memory.
Lost Swords may cover my itch a bit if it gets the Setsuka/Alpha Patroklos move set, but I kinda dislike the way the moves vastly have gotten remapped...

This is a pretty interesting topic.
The earlier versions of SC came out when I was young or during the time I couldn't access video games and I do not remember much about them besides that they were quite fun. I played Broken Destiny a bit and when SCV came out, I thought that I would give this...
Since the other thread is closed, I'm just making another one to track my progress. I did another run today after playing the game for about a year and am pretty happy with myself :). Learning to follow a GI with the Silver Moon Combo helped cut down the time by quite a bit.
Alpha Patroklos...
Not sure if you knew, but one technical mistake you have made - I make this mistake often too - throughout the fight was not being able to connect to JFT after 8a+bb but instead got a 2143b. I think that is usually because we are inputting the A for JFT too early. Actually, it looks like this...
I need Alpha Patroklos!
Also, it may be fun if they implement a level up or point system that allows the player to unlock more moves as they progress similar to the Elder Scroll series. That way players may get to learn stepping at the beginning as there are few moves, and they may get to know...
