English or Japanese?

Japanese because Pyrrha sounds better, since she is my main, not saying the english is bad but I prefer the Japanese. English for her gets a little annoying. But I agree with Donutman, having each indiviual voice choices. Some I prefer english, some Japanese.

Normally i would like both and switch back and forth between them. But not in SCV because the japanese lip-synching sometimes is completely off, which ruins it for me.
On a sidenote, ezio just has way more swag with the english VA, on japanese it loses a lot.

So in this case, english for me all the way.

I wish the english-japanese voice settings were like UMVC3, choose which individual characters you want to set languages for this
OMG!!! This!

It depends on which character

English-Natsu (though both are pretty good, I love the things she says in English), Tira, Pyrrha, Siegfried, Cervantes, Astaroth,
Japanese-Leixia (she sounds so adorable in Japanese), Xiba (sorry Black Power Ranger, but Xiba is pretty annoying in English), Patroklos, Ivy (her battle cries in Japanese are amazing)

All of the CAS characters I immediately put in Japanese, because they lack so much substance in English. One of them sounds like a typical nerd in English but sounds so serious in Japanese.

English. I usually don't like English dubs and I don't think the VAing in SCV is particularly good, but they're decent enough for a work in which the focus is more on the action than character development. Always having played in English helps, too. Besides, last time I checked, CaS don't move their lips when voices are set to Japanese.

Japanese, because quotes sound cooler when I don't understand them (plus I prefer Japanese VA in general).

I like how there are only those two languages when the characters are so diverse. I mean, Leixia is Chinese(I think).

I feel conflicted.

On the one hand i like a lot of the English voices and lines. Like when Yoshimitsu does one of his side throws it sounds like he's saying "I seek your bottom!"

And on the other hand i really like Link and want to hear Siegfried with his voice.

siegfrieds voice in japanese is epic indeed :D

SCV is the only game in the series where the English voices are better, or at least for most characters. I can't stand SCIV in English though, or any other past game in the series to be honest.

Personally English for me but on SCIV I did have them in Jap. I just wish we had more quotes on V .__. and a few from IV I miss the whole "Naughty Naughty" voice xD thought it sounded great in Jap and it was pretty funny in english but I lean towards english and for anime it depends on whos doing the voice (personally Hellsing english dub for me I love Alucard's voice!)

ok, today i made a test with the voice of every character in the game to see which one i liked more, this are the results (now i have the voices in japanese):
aPat: japanese.
aeon: neutral, same with voldo.
algol: english.
asta: english.
cervy: japanese.
damp: english.
ezio: english.
hilde: japanese.
ivy: japanese.
leixia: japanese.
maxi: english.
mitsu: japanese (although its pretty much the same).
natsu: japanese.
nighty: japanese.
pat: english.
pyrrha: i hate both voices a lot, same with elysium.
pyrrha o: japanese.
raph: english.
sieg: japanese.
tira: japanese.
viola: english.
xiba: english.
yoshi: in japanese he sounds badass but in english he sounds funny... japanese it is.
Z.W.E.I.: japanese.

i usually swap between them simply for diversity, same with stage music too. however, i prefer english just because i'm accustomed to each character's voice already. some in japanese just feel awkward for me, probably since i no speak japanese.

Um, partially correct. Their lips are still synched to the English voices. Which is... why I use the english voices.
