What's up with all the Algol hate?

Wait who's surpassing who now?

No idea.

Anyway, back on topic, I don't know why Algol gets so much hate. Yeah, he can do 200+ damage combos, but they all require 2 full bars. Unlike Viola who... Let's save that for a different topic.

And also, Algol doesn't have the "iconic" move that defines them and their playstyle. (E.g. Pyrrha's 236B, Pat's 66B, aPat's Twister, Sieg's 3B, etc.)

You're KIDDING ME.

He is SS tier if he has full meter, and maybe because of the pressure he's able to do with his bubbles and his lows

Then Viola's SSS+ Tier with full meter.

with 4 bars Viola can pull off practical, (apparently they're easy) 97-100% combos from a variety of startups that are pretty much ALL better than the launcher Algol needs to use to do his, which only takes around 75%.

I give to you, the reason why the whining of scrubs should NOT influence a character.

^
This is the monster that was created by people complaining about Viola's low damage and how they can't beat Nightmare.

So NO ONE can complain about Algol being too powerful with 4 bars.

The Table has spoken.

I never said viola was weaker than algol, viola is indeed the most powerful character in the game, I can even consider her broken because of her versatility, but algol is still the 2nd most powerful character with full meter

just for give you an example, IMO the 3 strongest characters with meter are
1. Viola
2. Algol
3. Elysium

without meter?
1. Alpha Patroklos
2. Viola
3. Pyrrha omega

but this is not a tiers thread so i'll have to stop

Viola does one thing and one thing only. If she does another thing and it works, you're failing.

then her capablity of doing a lot of stuff with just one same start, that's what I meant, she has "a lot of easy options" depending on the situation

The following is just my opinion :p

Viola- Not really broken, but very controlling in a fight ( depending on the skill of your opponent). She's meter dependent ( for high damaging combos ) and she's really bad at punishing. She's pretty good with pressure, but she suffers a very linear way of fighting. Plus she's pretty weak without her orb. :P You just have to work around her and (imo) take the defensive route :p :sc5vio1:
