    I haven't visited 8WR since 2015 and my last status was about me competing in SCV during TFC. With SCVI being real, I'm ready to be active!

    So I played SC5 for the first time in awhile a few days ago and was seriously rusty. Need to brush up on my Nightmare, Siegfried, and Viola.

    I've been playing SC5 again recently and have been trying to pick up Viola. The character is REALLY fun. Time to hit up the lab for combos!!

    Okay, Unbreakable Soul is just a slap to the face for Soulcalibur fans. A card game? REALLY NAMCO?! I'm so freaking done! *waits for SC6*

    It annoyed me today how one of my friends kept saying how bad SC5 is and kept going on about how SC2 is the best. Like, seriously?

    Able to GI straight off the ground, GI out of a wall-splat, turtle-y guard with no guard burst system, step-G, certain characters locked from being used certain modes, barely any semblance of a combo system, insane jank where airborne opponents randomly land right on their feet after getting hit... to think that at the time SCII was the best we had. Some people are just stuck in 2002.

    I wish a lot of things... I wish Raph was more like SC2 Raph, I wish Natsu could cancel more attacks into possession, and yeah... I do miss Talim having gone back to SC4 once or twice recently.
    SCV Talim wouldn't be as stance-heavy anyway, so I would've been disappointed anyway.

    My newest Nightmare avatar is a real throwback. His epic introduction in the first Soul Calibur is something I'll never forget.

    I clicked your profile so I could see the full size picture of Nightmare you were referencing. I realized that you were 5 when Nightmare was introduced and immediately felt old. Thanks a lot, buddy.

    Played a bit of Soul Calibur V yesterday and I was really rust with Nightmare. Guess that happens when you don't play a game for awhile.

    I've thought about dropping Nightmare in SC5 and making all the mimics my mains.

    Elysium is a good character to main from the mimics. Unique special and she focuses only on the female characters which makes it easier to remember; i myself main her since i'm well rounded with the female cast of the game.

    Thing is, I prefer using majority of the male styles in the game, so I thought about choosing Kilik. However, Elysium does have the best Critical Edge out of the three.

    Well, i suppose kilik is better for you then. With Kilik, you can different specials which can be favorable or bad.

    I've always wondered what SC5 could have been if Namco had more time to develop the game. It's kind of sad that SC5 is "incomplete".

    More modes (survival, time attack, etc), Dampierre would have been on disk instead of DLC, better story mode, missing characters (talim, koreans, and zas). Why did they rush it again?

    It was actually fun to play SC5 with people offline. Too bad nobody really plays this online anymore and plays that crappy HD SC2 port. -_-

    I don't see why SC5 gets a lot of shit from fans of the series. I like that Namco did something new.

    You'll find people here complaining about games they've never even played.... xD

    It's nothing new, there are 2 types of gamers, the ones that complain on the internet about them, and the other group that actually plays them!! =] Stay strong SC5!!!!

    From a competitive standpoint, SCV is the most solid SC game. But of course... WHERE'S MAH TALIM/ TAKI/ SOPHITIA..yada yada...
