Will try to update this..... I spent quite a long time playing around with his movelist yesterday to collect my thoughts. Seeing how everybody complains how Raphael is so vertical... sometimes makes me a bit annoyed.... it's true to a CERTAIN extent but not the way how everybody whines about...

Why are you guys still talking about Astaroth like he's god tier 50% monster..... have you guys even tried playing as Astaroth... honestly.. it's NOT as easy as one might think if you're up against someone that knows anti-astaroth.... most of the time you'll get outspeed and it's not that easy...

keep in mind you consider raph as low-mid tier character... but not everybody does.... and to make it even more sad...... is that with any games... sometimes they purposely make certain characters worse..... knowing they are not as good to create a more 'flavorful' game.... so to some...

will go back to the lab again and try to mash a bit more.... I'm thinking it's got something to do with him holding the A+B or holding B after pressing 3A shortly to trigger what made the computer think he's in prep for a bit...... because he did.. 3A when -LAU

I personally like 33B more than 11K but i understand the use are different... i just feel at that range i prefer 2K.... -LAU

my advice against Maxi and Natsu is keeping a distance from them is the key..... i would pretty much do whatever it takes to keep a distance from them.... you don't want to fight point blank with them... if you're on a life lead there's pretty much no reason for you to move in you should really...

Revisited this character recently... few weeks before my basics and understanding of the system was too weak to play this character... no particular order 66A+B 2K WS B A+B Throws 66B (B) B+K BE 1(B) 4B BE will revisit... when i play more. -LAU

15 mins of mashing and twirling stick and pressing A+B, A~B,B~A last night resulted in nothing (even threw in G and Ks once in awhile) -LAU

4A works as well -LAU

I'll start my usual methodology (cautious mashing) on discovering bugs now this is a bit more narrowed down and seems like might be legit.... -LAU

22B -> 2A gets a nice juicy +8 frames and they are close enough for any sort of mixup.... that's always good. -LAU

Ahh... thanks... please add to the list the following combos... these are the ones i use the most... 22B, 2A, forces stand 22B, 3A (leads to Wall combos), hits as a counter 22B, 2K, forces stand.. but there's no reason why you wanna do 2K over 2A.... i added it here because i used to do 2K...

The trap that most raph including myself do and fail then complain is doing prep transition too much... however sometimes against certain match up perhaps not going to prep most of the time is probably the better option despite losing opportunity with mixup and damage.... i think when more...

Thats exactly what i meant..... Few examples.... certain transitions on block you'll get raped with certain moves your opponent does...but if they were blocked far range... those same moves might not have enough range especually if you do prep 4..... while longer reaching moves might be...

I use 11k but dont find it as a top 10 move yet..... Please enlighten me -LAU

honestly... i find the quality of some of the newer smartphone is good enough nowadays.... recently just recorded a playback of one of my matches doing that.... and it looks quite alright.... i guess the problem is...if you can find something to keep your phone in place while you're in training...

I forgot to add..... despite the fact I just provided some match up strategy against Asta..... that i think is quite legit.... Raph is still worse than Asta... why? I don't know.. but I guess because what everyone else say so... but if you really want a reason.... raph is linear and can't do...
