They're interesting with a good start, but I need a bit of more of persuading imho.
Kimasabe
If Kimasabe is a man that is serving a warlord in Japan(or Shogun which is master samurai rather), he has to keep to his roots of what Japanese samurais could wear. What he wears is Japanese, yet you brought in some Chinese elements like the shoulder pads and the hat(unless he travels there). The hat may fool peeps who don't know the difference between Japanese and Chinese, but not people who are exposed to Japanese fashion. If you like the hat, try to make it more Japanese. Otherwise, I wouldn't add things so carelessly if it doesn't work out. The pads seem out of place despite them matching by color.
Speaking of matching by color, you don't need to three color scheme everything. While it's tempting to just match everything, you don't want any tacky things like gray white getas(the wooden sandals) on white socks. At times like these, keeping them as the stock colors is better. Bandages, sandals, necklaces, and things of that nature don't necessarily need to match.
The only time you need to mess with getas is if there's a reason to. A geisha needs her getas to be black with red straps to match her beautiful kimono, or a little saturation and maybe a subtle pattern. Otherwise, there's no problem keeping it stock.
Bottom line? He's off to a good start, but just needs some more tweaks to keep it rounded.
Two foster siblings
The 2 siblings I'm not sure what kind of warriors they're supposed to be. My only impressions I got from them are like this:
Xun-Jii is looking mighty fabulous for some random asian warrior. *Snap snap* Jokes aside, why is he wielding Ivy's style? Is he a whip sword user? If so, wouldn't the Kaleidscope or whatever it's called be a better fit? Imho, that sword I mentioned looks like those Japanese branched swords. Personally I'd recommend it for Xun-Jii if he happens to be in Japan. His outfit could use more work as it happens to be awkward. It makes me think Hwang got fabulous swag and silky long hair wrapped in a pony tail. Otherwise, is he a messenger? I just can't make sense what he is.
Zhen-Ling makes me think of Leixia with a fashion problem. Her hairstyle is very cute along with her face, but her whole outfit is just awkward. The color choices aren't too bad, but it suffers from too much matchy match syndrome.
If she's rolling with a scarf and that Chinese top, go with a simple chinese bottom. Try experimenting with pants like Capris, Leixia's pants, Xiaoyu's pants, cropped pants, etc. Add some ribbons, king-fu shoes, amd anything that makes a young chinese lass cute yet elegant.
If you're trying to armor her up, go for simple armor but keep it cute. The gist is if she's an innocent lass trying to look for her father, try looking at what Leixia, Xianghua, female chinese dynasty warriors, real female chinese warriors, etc via google as inspirations to help.
Bottom line? If the brother is trying to keep her sister from seeing the father for whatever reason, why not make him a bit more rugged yet built tough hot-blooded guy or slender built with calculated mind yet handsome pretty boy to offset the cute and innocent sister?
