OK, guys, here is time for the big video showdown...
First let me apologize for not showing Pocky wins, but i already did in the past (a vid where i got completely crushed by Yoshi in a very laggy fight where i did about everthing wrong with my Teeria, except a CE ;o)... so now it is our turn to shine all right ;o)
I could make many comments that come to my mind viewing those vids, but i want to let space for you to comment (and i hoping for some and why not hardcore player advice, especially from the ones requesting the vids (wink)
The Napoli vs Roman Hilde one has been posted in Le Bello's thread (a bit of publicity doesn't hurt ;o)
ALL VIDS ENCODED IN 480p so change setting when video starts...
Let us start with a few of the most recent ones, and one intruder (featuring Mistakoo very menacing red brute)
Shogun vs Yoshi (funny in its own right)
Shaolin monk vs Mistakoo
One of the two wins of Lil Vil (a Natsu expert with his own very particular 8 yo style). It is obvious Pocky took Dampierre to give my son a chance, but it is just as obvious he did not hold back (proof is that failed CE at the end of a decisive round...i did said relaaaaaax its Lil Vil though ;o)
And now for the grand finale, this is one i am so very proud of (thou art valiant, Pocky Yoshi sayeth)

I love how Mistakoo cancels your CE by stomping on your toes.
D'aw, grats to Lil Vil! At first I thought he was some sort of blocking expert, then I saw he was low guarding all the time. Still though, while it's evident PY went easy on him, there's some obvious skill. (Also Pocky, I never liked Disco Jim until this very moment! Cool dude yo.)
Also I love how you grabbed at the end to secure the very nice comeback, after fluffing up the CE. Your Leixia is a lot better without the lag, or have you been practising?

Thx, well without the lag playing against a US player, lol, kidding i guess...and apart from doing fights with you, i have not been practising at all on Leixia, a bit on some other CAS to learn the most unsafe and fun moves...now i know about the full Algol CE, i'd like to do it in a fight, but doing 3 well timed inputs in a row is close to impossible online (with people outside of France i mean).
The main problem with lag is not necessarily that your inputs are registered later than the opponent, it is frustrating but bearable with a little anticipation, it is that what you see on screen is not what you input, completely messing your timing...and to makes things worse, it goes up and down so you can't really adjust to the ever changing frame data, so part of the fights are fluid like on replays, others are just the epic fail and input clusterfuck...
Since i only rely on a handful of safe moves per char and my very good hand-eye coordination (i am left-handed by the way) learnt from gaming and sports in general, i can't really put those qualities to good use...
So i am even more happy when i win a fight against my fellow 8wayrunners ;o))

You only need two inputs for a full CE from Algol. Just do the CE input twice is all~
Just remember, when you have lag, so do others. I've learnt to sort of, pre-predict moves, meaning lag is less problamatic for me. I'll also stick to safer moves unless I can easily confirm the hit, and then I'll use a less time-sensitive combo.
By the bizzle, Le Bello is also left handed.

oh good to know you are left handed, one more thing we have in common.
Regarding Algol, if you wanna do the real CE, you have to do the CE then redo the first rotational input of the CE + buttons once more when this throne hits the poor fella, otherwise, you will not get the full i sit on your back animation (i know because that is one move i had practiced in training, without lag, and could pull 10 out of 10 once i got the hand of it, timing of the second part is just after the fist of Algol hits the ground, as simple as that)

Precisely: Two inputs, as I said. Remember I did this to you Silly Vill. =];}D It's one of the easiest timings in the game in my humble opinion.

You are right, but then not, it is only 1,5 CE not twice, you are wasting precious energy there my friend, its the two rotations of the CE + buttons, then 1 rotation + buttons, not 2.

absolutely, i must be one of the most mischievous persons with my kids (the french word for this is "espiègle" or "polisson" if you wanna know (you have been trying hard to write french lately, and i value that highly monsieur)
About CE, i have to say that Lil Vil cannot do them, it is too complicated for him to do the quarter moon rotations, so he relies on caltrops and crazy Natsu stunts instead, so yeah he has a tactics of his own, which worked quite well against PY.

At least he doesn't call the game broken and whinge all over 8WR about it. He just finds something else and moves on. I do love the caltrops, though they're not the best of moves.
The Natsu air grab... Or the BT POS K move? =];}D It's so simple to do, even Lil Vil could manage!

Lil Vil tells you he would be glad to know how you do your secret move so he can use it for this birthday tourney, so if you have time to reply (in text or move code you know like A~B etc., preferrably a bit of both ;o)
In return, he tells you you should check the
B+G grab, which is one he likes a lot (and i do too), very ninjaesque...or and in mid-air for a cool and ranged head stomp kick, another favourite of us...
is that a fair deal monsieur l'anglais ?

Aye, but the hardcore players know more about this then we do. I'm happy mixing hardcore with casual, means I have fun without getting too frustrated at things. :D
Does Lil Vil now how to go into the POS stance? (214 I believe).
When you're in that stance, you must press A+B+K a few times (or RT if you're on default controls) until you're behind the opponent, then press K. It's simple once you get into it, and I'd love for him to show off to all his friends with it~
Tell him I j'adore 66B+G, it's such a cool move! Bamf! Though I have yet to sample 44K K, so I'll do that next time we fight, c'est agreeable?

edit : we just practiced the move, and strange thing, he can pull it off no sweat in training mode (now he has got the hang of it, great move, thx) but we tried out in local versus, he refuses to do it, doing other stuff instead, commands are the same, any idea what to do to make it work in VS mode anyone ?

Doing this, i noticed i missed two duplicates, so that means i have 3 more slots left to mess with, me happy ;o)
if you spot some more, please let me know...a quizz of sorts, like old times ;o)
Thumbnail creation is an art like any other, you just have to think outside the box, or inside, or turn the world of your CAS inside out, or reveal its insides, or his sidekick (Lich Queen Zwei), or lighting effects, reveal sticker work, etc.

As for the move, it should work just the same as it does in practice - Perhaps the positioning is wrong? The opponent might've moved for example. Not sure otherwise.
The Shadow is easily the best thumbnail! I kept looking for secrets one I hadn't seen before, but I didn't find anything. :}(

Great Party, and Lil Vil prevailed in the finals (against his older brother).
All participants were handed game posters (Pokemon, Mario, Izuna Eleven, and...SoulCalibur) and a pouch of candy.
They did not want to let go of the controller, completely hooked and mesmerized by the game (and my CAS ;o)
Until we meet again and you show me your GoT stuff (or did i see them already ?), here are the last 3 i worked on.
I realized i hadn't made any Kilik 3P, so i went for a male indian warrior (a la rdmunhoz, just with a couple of twists, i started with a bow in the hand, but on win stances, he ended up stabbed in the chest by own weapon lol).
The scar on his face like a tatoo and the indian-compatible face (eye shape etc.) game me the idea...
Also, i wanted to make a style swap, so i went down the path of creating a female nighty with Sieg style, and a malfested Sieg with nighty style. Very mischievous of me, trying to take the unaware opponent by surprise (not anymore okayyyy ;o)
