I am creating this thread to express my opinions on what are rude and crude actions online (in no particular order). As you already know, this sort of thing isn't limited to Soul Calibur. Before we get started...
Some calming BGM to maintain a good mood...
You are (of course) free to bring up what do you think are annoying problems with some people on the online communities.
Now...
1. Trash Talk
Oh boy, where do I begin with this? Rude people with mics tend to say things to get under your skin during a fight. They'll say things like calling you a coward, cheap, etc. It can really make you lose concentration and mess you up. It's mainly to talk you out of a certain tactic that seems to work against them. I think it's the cowards way out. I find it satisfying to beat the crap out of them for doing that.
2. Scrubs
To anyone who doesn't know the difference a scrub and a noob, let me explain... A noob is a person who is new to the game and perhaps gets better as time progresses. We were all noobs at one point. A scrub is a person who wants to add to the game's rules in attempt to make it easier for themselves to win. They can't do it officially, so they become upset when you break their "rules" and threaten to kick you from the room. They can go as far as to try to prohibit simple game play mechanics such as ring outs, throws, lows, etc. and add to the list if they're still losing, which I find is plainly ridiculous. So far, this is a problem I encounter the most often out of everything else. The game already has rules that define what you can and can't do and there is not much you can do about it.
3. Rage Quitting
I'm sure we've met a sour sport who rage quits when they're about to lose. Sometimes, they do it to maintain a good win percentage, which is dishonest. On one hand, there are games that penalize rage quitters with a loss on their record. On the other hand, in some games it's the person who didn't rage quit who gets punished. Is that fair? I don't think so.
