Damn...I'm terribad at this game now. Just Mak doesn't feel the same anymore...no more freestyling. Guess I might as well try to pick up Platinum or something and see how that goes.

Heh, I picked up the game for a few hours, and let's say that's not enough time to unlearn CT Rachel. Played online for a few games after sitting in practice mode for a while, and had to beat some trashy level 60 player with several thousand games using only projectiles because I had all the wrong combos in muscle memory.
 
Apparently, this is Relius Clover's theme in the new game. Relius also comes with his own stage.

Very... final boss like. Given that Relius seems to inspire fear in anyone who meets him this song seems rather appropriate. Kinda want to play him based on this theme alone. And well, I tend to have a soft spot for villains like him.
 
I haven't touched BB since CT so I know nothing about this game anymore, how's Nu now? Last I heard they nerfed her to hell from her CT counter part. I remember her being a zoning beast that was really fun to play with.
 
Well, first of all, a new character has taken her place named Lambda 11, though her Unlimited form is Nu. And yes, she has been nerfed, but I think she got a slight boost in the last couple of patches. Also, Nu adopts a lot of the qualities she had in CT, only, she is a lot more "boss like". As for other things about Lambda/v-13/Nu/Noel's clone/Murokumo Unit 11 who is also the anti-body to the Idea Engine/Murkokumo Unit 11 who somehow has a psychic connection to Murokumo Unit 13, I can't really say. I barley play as her, but she is definitely a great zoning character who has a fair amount of decent counters and unpredictable moves.

@Windstar: Crisis Reversed is just a fan project which focused on possible themes for characters who were speculated to becoming playable. Though, that is a wicked cool song, and it could work.
 
They didn't nerf her to hell, they nerfed her to reasonableness and made her more fun by giving her more interesting tools.
Rachel is the one that got the wheel chair.
 
I swear they're making this game trashier and trashier. You've got all these people claiming Mak's S-tier when, inall actuality, the changes made it fuckin' harder for her than it was before...and now they're nerfing her even more just cuz? I hope SC5's devs don't patch games like this.
 
Well you may not be able to play Makoto as you want, but you can't deny the fact that she has been doing very well at tournaments in Japan. She has very damaging combos and good corner carry off of most hits.

To say the least, the difference in tiers keep getting smaller with each iteration of the game, and they've made changes to system mechanics , to reduce previous tactics from being overused (like chicken blocking). How did you like Platinum?
 
Yeah, I just need time...I guess. Think today put the final nail in the coffin though; I'm dropping Mak for Tao. Platinum is just weird. Also, how does airdashing and or jumping and barrier blocking work now? I swear I'm jumping and trying to barrier block and getting hit by air unblockables and airdashing forever and still can't barrier block.
 
Almost all normals are air unblockable. You can no longer instant block air unblockables. Barrier guarding in the air still works. Option select throw break is almost useless.
 
Seems like there isn't even a point to normal air-blocking outside of...I guess...blocking other air attacks now. Whatever. Gave it a try again tonight but I just can't play this game anymore. Hopefully, they bring some system changes come the next update.
 
Only Blazblue I got was CS 2 on the 3DS. Awesome game, though buttons and text graphics were a tad small. I'd main Ragna, Noel, and Lamba (Nu). I Love Noel!

You have to wait 5 or so frames after jumping before barrier will turn on, and I think airdashing made it so you block later in the animation now, but I'm not sure about that one.
