Hudson has revealed on their Twitter page that a new sequel to the Bloody Roar series is in production. Several hash tags were used in the message including Bloody Roar Project 2012 and Bloody Roar 5. Back in February, Morgan Haro, the former brand manager of the defunct Hudson Entertainment (the North American branch of Hudson) , mentioned the possibility of a new spin-off game for the series probably coming to the Playstation Network of the Playstation 3 and Xbox Live Arcade of the Xbox 360 in late 2011 or early 2012. In July, Hudson Soft disclosed that they cancelled Bloody Roar 5. It looks like they decided to start the project again.​

I say it's about damn time! I've been waiting for this ever since Primal Fury on the gamecube. Bloody Roar 4 was a disappointment. Man this year need to end in a quick hurry because I'm tired of 2011. I ready for some 3D fighting and awesome 2012 game carnage.
 
I had absolutely no idea Bloody Roar was still in production, the last one I played was the second one on the PSX!
Looking forward to seeing this now!

A youtuber has an inkling to the precise date of release:

"Release date Pwntember 45th,2018. For PS4, XBox 720, Wii 2, and Sega Norris. Roster of 400 characters with only 5 playable, and a stunning array of 8 WHOLE MODES!! Online play features the new lag mode that lags your game for you!"
 
the resurgence of fighting games is great.
4 was kinda bad but this is good news

Killer Instinct. all I need is that game, and I'll be complete for now. Here's the thing about KI. Why I believe KI hasn't come back yet is due to some legality issues. Right? Because if I'm not mistaken, Rare made the game, but Midway owned the IP license.. So now that Midway's gone, what happens to that IP? Does it belong to WB? Does it go into limbo? Or does Rare pick it up? Also do they want to? I mean if they're going to release a fighting game, now would be the time to do it right? I mean if Rare owns the IP now, then fuck.. I gotta buy a 360... but on the off chance that WB owns it, there's a slight possibility that it might become multiplatform, and that's going by if WB decides to revive the franchise. But they revived MK, I don't see why they shouldn't revive KI... Sabrewulf NEEDS TO COME BACK FOR CHRIST SAKE!

But to go back to Bloody Roar, I'm happy. were critters in a fighting game. YESSIR! mole + ninja + cyborg = Kohryu. MY MAIN!

Bloody Roar extreme for the xbox wasn't bad either. It was basically the exact same as the GC version but with an extra character.

but yeah my main was pretty much the whole entire feline team. Long, Shenlong, and Uriko. I was a fan of Cronos and Uranus but they were too easy to do damage with.
