... a little pulpy... a little cos play (ish) ... inspired loosley by the Fox Force Five show discussed in pulp fiction...
they are all deadly assassins when not at there cover job.

You were always great at making robotic creatures, and i drew inspiration from you to create mine.
I wouldn't say it is coherent or good looking in-game, but you guys are still afraid of meeting me online, i know, and that makes me sad...i'd love to see your stuff with proper lighting
fear? ... perhaps ... but we also have SCV for PS3...
I see you have a new thread ... and a new slide show will comment soon ... :)

i was just kidding, just forgot you were on PS3...this last batch looks extremely appealing to me, and using special items and tatoo stickers to mimic hair extensions around the ears on your girls is nothing short of brilliant...
they all have their distinctive flair, the choice of different faces, subtle face paint/makeup works extremely well with the not overloaded design and adequate use of textures and patterns
10/10 on the execution
maybe only 8/10 on the originality (10/10 on hair originality and for the groom, very mattyesque also ;o)

as for the slideshow, it will be back online in a few hours i hope...but there is stuff to see in the old thread and you should browse a few pages back because i remember you vanishing when i was very active, so you might see something you like

Crazed Robot (i like this one much better than the old one ;o), it is more coherent
Charlie Chaplin is THE masterpiece, brilliant !
The others are cool too (that detective's hat)

hmmm...Did you see my previous post ?

Well done! It's a wonder how you draw inspiration from so many sources like Dick Tracy. There were a few aspects about your work that didn't quite match my tastes though. Superhero designs are, for the most part, simple, but I think many of your creations, like Etrigan, were a tad threadbare. A little bit more bump-mapping would go a long way. I'm also not entirely convinced by certain equipment choices. The Shanghai girl's hair is certainly unique, but it just doesn't approximate hair well enough in my opinion. The band girl's an excellent design, attractive and instantly identifiable, but the shoulder pads are awkwardly suspended in mid-air. Of this latest batch, I'd say the robots, Glax, and the Cowgirl have the polish to look natural standing among the Soul Calibur cast.

Speaking of the robots, I really like them both. You're really skilled at adding textures to break the monochrome palettes. The first one, "01," looks more like she's f***ing pissed than lonely, but her figure is delicate, and the "01" clearly denotes solitude. Her head is strangely reminiscent of a tube TV, in a good way. The second one is even better than the first. Everything from her spiky shoulder guards down to her bulky physique expresses a unified idea, the iron maiden. This is the single most important trait in CaS. Bravissimo.

I loved everything!!!!! chobek you are a CAS genius... that Watchmen is brilliant... all of them
Hey :) .... Happy to see you are still around! I know I am the one who disappeared for awhile.... But it is nice to hear from you again!

We had a lot of fun with the Watchmen ... But we are not completely satisfied with Ozymandias (I think someone could come up with a better one) We also have an original Nite Owl... But he is a little weak so I didn't post him.
:)

yes... I'm here... I'm trying to update all my CAS to make a new post here...
I would love to see that original Nite Owl and Ozymandias updated

now rdmunhoz plans on coming back with new CAS like Chobek...i wonder when we are gonna see Matty or Draco coming back at this rate...
sadly, Le Bello made me happy saying he'd start a CAS thread, then got "quote" disenchanted all of a sudden, even though i tried my best to reenchant him with a few cool fights and new CAS...
oh well...

As i alway said Chobek are the best at making recreations with a twist, even if i don't know half of the originals...

Omg chobek I bow bravo homie hope you have ps3 friend me jesus lol xpharaoh13x psn kudos man seriously those star treks are bananas

OK I am so excited ... we just got a new toy!!!!!

so now, after all this time ...when the board is dead :) I finally have a capture device!
Mazinger Z vs Aphrodite A
Gatchaman --Ken & Jun

it will be some time before I really get to play with it but I will post this .................
... here is the set up ... I have a blog but, it is really just an online diary I wrote this the first week we got the game... I think it is funny now ....

(This post is a bit self indulgent sorry...)

I have been making custom characters on Soul Calibur V for about a week now... I am having so much fun. Joe and I both have been obsessed. I think it has something to do with working within the limitations. It is frustrating , but extremely compelling.
I am proud of my creations in a pretty shameless way ... Usually I feel guilt attached to my pride and slap myself down for feeling arrogant. With this ..... I know I am a little prideful...maybe a little showy, but, I am so excited about the whole thing that I just don't care.
I even posted a link to pictures of the customs I have been making on Gamefaq... I am trying to be more honest about my desire... my longing to say Look Look Look at me...................
... I keep trying to talk to the people at work about it...they don't care ..... or if they kinda care they don't understand... and I don't think the conversation would go well if I called my Aunt and told her the exciting details of how I made my Mazinger....

..........but I love him sooooooo much.

...One funny story, after we made him I played a match online...admittedly just to show him off a little....( I do feel dorky about that...and I was really scared). It was very late at night/ early in the morning and it was a Japanese room. Someone texted a comment in Japanese.... I couldn't understand it( because it was in Japanese), but, I saw -Z and I just exploded. Joe and I took pictures of the text and translated it (you might think I should be embarrassed of this but nope) it said "Mazinger-Z". We were both really happy. Someone in Japan said "Mazinger-Z" so... I feel kinda cool.

----update---
I am so proud of myself ... not because of the things I have made, but because I actually posted quite a few of the pics from SCV... I am putting myself out there... I am happy with myself for communicating and being honest about wanting attention. ...maybe attention isn't the right word... maybe it is... :) but I am satisfied that I 'm not hiding.
...and I get a lot out of it too .... there are some fantastic things going on inside the obscure little bubble of Soul Caliber .... People using the same parts and coming up with different answers. I find it exciting. For me it is like seeing how different one brain is from the other. I am happy to see so much passion. I enjoy it when someone makes something out of an element I overlooked. *It doesn't matter if it is an original creation or a pop icon re imagined for the game, there is just such cool and creative decision making going on .

*I wasn't applying that sentence to myself, but, It is convenient that I feel this way since most of the things we make are someone else's original design. For me when I first started I was having a blast giving myself strict guidelines...it was like a puzzle trying to reach a goal with limited options.

.... now I just wish I was a better fighter ....and less of a button masher... Joe is better than me ... but there are lots better than us.
