CEs on a pad...

Alright, this is driving me nuts. I cannot get these consistently out at all, why there's a double hadouken input for this game, when everything else is overly simplified is making me scratch my head. I'd imagine there's other pad players out there who've either overcome this, or are struggling with this as well...

in;b4 buy a stick. I would, but I'm really broke.
 
What pad are you using? If you have a 360 then get the silver controller with raised dpad. I never have a problem.

I only wish the shoulder triggers weren't so squishy >_>. Takes forever to fully press down on them.
 
2323A+B+K also does CE.
That being said I find it particularly difficult to do a CE with anyone that has 236 stance, eg Nightmare
 
I was using a standard PS3 controller about 15 minutes ago, just switched to my Hori Fighting Commander Pro 3 though and the difference is huge. I can actually pull these off consistently with this, wish they made this pad for 360. I feel for you guys =/

You can set the L1-L2 to be on R1-R2 as well and use the R1-R2 face buttons. Pretty nice. Anyways, this pad helps tremendously for PS3 anyways. Got mine for like $30-$35 off Newegg.com but they're out at the moment. Dpad is great and far more responsive than the stock PS3 one.
 
Never had an issue doing it on a 360 (and I use the digital for my inputs). Only time I had issues was with Voldos because his 236 input would negate the second 236.

Just practice the motion, I like the stick more than the pad now that I have one.
 
I agree with Aris, I think it is more you than the actual command or controller, I also use the standard PS3 controller and I can't recall a single time CE came out unintentionally or failed to come out when I needed it to.
