Concept of fake loops

There'll come a time in all Maxi players life, where u'll come across someone with the nuts, the reflexes, the manliness, to counter your conventional options.
I haven't personally come across such an individual yet, but just in case....this technique may be a useful thing to know.
I'm sure most of you all ARE aware of it, but don't use it, maybe it's not your style, or probably think it's too complexed, however i can testify that it has worked well vs my competition here

Anyway here's the idea
My favorite offense initiator 4B -> LO, and one of the best starters to employ fake looping imo due to the hesitation it forces.

We all know of all the options we have available in LO so no need to go through all of them.
psl1 goes to BL
psl3 goes to RO
psl2 goes to LI

The idea of fake looping is to deliberately telegraph your movement to make the opponent believe that you have switched stances when you haven't switched at all.
For eg. 4B fake psl3 LO BK.
You essentially end up cancelling the loop shift with an immediate LO BK before you enter into RO. Timing is impeccable, however the deception lies in the fact taht the opponent SEES the glowing chucks....and they think to themselves, ohhh he's going to RO, and thus prepare the appropriate counter. This is where you can dupe them into flinch ducking vs Lo BK because they thought you were going to do RO A. The possibility of landing LO BK also arises since you've essentially made a delayed LO BK with your fake loops.
Unfortunately, although the chucks are glowing from the psl3 loop, the fake loop with psl3s, DO NOT AUTO GI AT ALL TT. The GI window does not get activated in time before it cancels.

another eg. uber1337 style. 4B psl1 BL
You psl1, and Maxi moves forward like the aggressive bloke he is...everyone knows that movement after blocked 4B means BL is coming, and therefore they will duck expecting BL B or BL KK, they may possibly step or attack even. This is where you cancel that psl1 into LO BK. Again the possibility arises that you can land LO BK on CH because of the inherent delay, or you can make them duck LO BK, and force them to block the kick into adv.

ps. I must not that 4B psl2 LI, is NOT a good shift to emply fake looping. The LI shift is so subtle that it doesn't really matter. Combined with the evasive power and potential spammability of LI B, you won't mind doing this when in doubt.

This concept works best after 4B and 3B imo as they both force hesitation decently and opponents KNOW the conventional shifts after them. 3B fake psl3 into RO AK works well for me.
So gentlemen hope this can be useful for you, as it has been for me :) Will post vids of the technique for newer players IF they're not sure what the hell i'm talking about.

hey nikkelz. post some vids on that when you get time. I get the jist of what your saying but i want to see it in action. Im a big 3b psl3 into RO KK. It it rapes so well that i havent needed to change that up at all. almost no one sees it comeing. Ive always wanted to see ou play anyway. Good post though man!!

You have seen this concept on the Unlimited Loop video. In order to do the CH 3B, RO B, RC KK:K trap easier, you need to do RO B->RC, fPSL1, RC KK:K.

The same with the right side throw, against Sophie, into a free BL KK. Right throw->BL, BL fPSL1, BL KK.

BTW, what do you mean with 3B, PSL3 RO KK? Is it fPSL3? =P

I'm liking this "f" with the "PSL". =)
