Damn DNS error is going to drive me insane!!!!

My PS3 has just randomly started getting DNS errors for no reason. I've tried everything possible to fix the problem, but everything i've tried only works as a temporary fix because if I turn the PS3 off, i'm having the same problem again.

Any ideas on permanent fixes? Normally i'd figure it out on my own, but this shit is driving me crazy.
 
Mine started doing that, and I ended up buying a new router. The problems cleared up right away after that.

(Here's the part for IT folks to point and laugh at me over.) I've been told that the old router probably picked up a virus of some sort, which was likely causing the problems.
 
How can you tell if you have a virus on your router?
This worries me mostly because my wireless router IS my modem, and not just a linksys or something of the sort.
 
If you're leasing the modem, you could probably get it swapped out after a session with tech support.
