Easiest Characters to pick up on Stick?

I'm a casual SCIV player and was wondering what 8wayrun would say the easiest characters to use on stick were? I searched around and I can't find any other threads on this so- yeah.

Help a n00b?

Usually it's all about which characters you're most comfortable with. Once you identify your favorite character that you're comfortable with, then all you gotta do is practice.

Pocky Yoshi says hello. Pleased to meet you. Anything else you need help with? I'm sure that I along with a few others can help you out? =)

Yeah I totally understand that, however when it comes to stick some characters fare easier than others, I can't imagine Rock is very good on stick for example...

I don't want to use Kilik as that seems to be the obvious choice for most stick players...

Easier on a stick?

Pretty much everyone in the game except Setsuka, Sophie and Hilde, I would say. Everyone else doesn't have complex input motions that aren't easy on a stick or special mechanics (Charges).

Yes stick makes fighting games very easy for it's built for those types of games. And not to spout of anything offensive for I am trying to help, but why not use Kilik on stick? This one move called Asura dance is fairly easier to do since the stick can help. I mean, wouldn't you want to impress your buddies being able to do that?

Ahh I see, I think i'm going to have a browse around then, cheers for that IdleMind :-)

Could someone link me to an accurate tier list please?

EDIT: Pocky-Yoshi: I have no RL buddies that play SCIV anyway, i'm more-or-less looking for a quick way to get good with someone on stick so I can start having more fun online, sorry for coming off awkward haha

Here is a rough one; based on the american tier list:

S = Amy/Voldo/Kilik/Ivy (Hilde)
A = Yoshi/Mitsu/Sophie/Setsuka/Asta/Cervy/X/Vader (Algol)
B-D everyone else
Yoda Tier: Yoda

(Brackets) = Banned in tournament play

Also, this belongs in the newbie forum, I'll move it there.

I didn't know Voldo was that high...

I'm a little confused. D:

Better to ask me in a PM then sidetrack this into a tier discussion. Trust me on that. I'll answer the OP's questions directly, but please no tier debate nonsense here.

Yoshi is upper-mid!?
Thats quite a contrast considering his position in Tekken...

But yeah cheers for your help buddy, I'll return to this thread should I have any other queries that need tending to haha

I learned to play the game seriously with Sophitia. She's a very nice character, with a wide varity of pretty much everything except for stances.

Zasalamel has nothing. Don't complain :)

Also OP I think youd find voldo fun, I spent a week toying around with him and it's alot of fun. I use the default Xbox pad however so I can't help much on the stick :D

I remember when I first played Soulcalibur 1.... I was like what? 8-9 years old or something. I chose Sophitia!!! AND I WHOOPED MY ENEMIES TO SHREADS. But seriously, Sophitia is very easy to use as a beginner and IMO is one of the easiest characters to master. That is if some people would SAY "master" ^_^.

I lol'ed.

I might add though man that we can recommend ya a character and you may not like the feel of them at all. The same goes for picking based off of a tier list. So I wish you the best of luck. If a character doesn't feel right to you, try another one. There is at least some variety in the upper tiers to choose from.

There's something to be said for being effective and simple.

Since Sophie's getting some mention I just thought I'd say doing iTAS B with no block stun or buffer tricks on a square gate is not easy, but I could just be bad at stick.
