We got 150+ people and the pools are still being posted. Who and what character will win their pool and the top 8?

For a listing to reference: POOL ASSIGNMENT

I'm guessing 2 Ivy, Voldo, and Hilde will be pool winners.
 
Pool A: Ivy & Taki

Pool B: Astaroth & Siegfried

Pool C: Hilde & Star Wars or Siegfried

Pool D: Hmm. I *want* to say Ivy [I gotta rep myself :)], but I think we'll see Lizardman and Amy. Crossing my fingers for an epic win on a controller I can't use. XD

I actually think there will be a few upsets. Well not in my eyes but in the eyes of the community. But there are a few players here and there some may not expect to come out on top but I think they're being heavily underestimated.
 
So are you going to wait until after Evo before you tell people exactly what you are predicting? Kinda defeats the purpose that way dontcha think?
 
id really like to see ATL_R3DD get somewhere sith my boi maxi. that would make me happy.

I as well am rooting for ATL R3dd since he's the only one repping Maxi. The rest are considered evil in my eyes and must be struck down! XD
 
Are the winners finals/losers finals of each pool 3/5 or still 2/3? Since they kind of just get put into the final 8 and arent the "finals" of the actual bracket.. Well, either way theres going to be a ton of big matches decided on 2/3, so I wouldn't be suprised if theres a lot of 2-1 upsets in this tournament. Pool C still looks completely imbalanced to me.. check out the other pools, theres like no hildes at all in them lol. That said, I'm predicting theres only going to be 1 hilde to make it to the finals, if that.. and probably only 1 hilde in the top 4.

I think were going to see a lot of Ivy and Voldo taking top spots, 1 hilde, and maybe 1 amy or yoshi or cervy. I wouldn't be suprised if astaroth and xianghua rep hard, for some reason.

I'll try to live up to that solid-ass maybe. =) No matter what happens, though, there will be a lot of unhappy people in Pool C. Still, I'd choose it again if I was given an outright pick because I want to square off against the very best.
 
Well the players that I predict will make it into the top 8 that some people have looked pass is Hudathan and Kura. Particularly Kura, who I beleive to be potentially the best. And Hudathan is quite awesome too. I might be wrong but I see this happening.
 
I got my money on Linkrkc, my homie since before he started playing tournies. And watch out for his little bro Alpha Male aka David Evers, to send some people to losers.

And GO GO "I don't use Ivy anymore"-Licious, shock the world and show them you never lost it!!!

Omega is here, he is staying at the Gold Coast hotel.

He is looking for SC4 players for MMs or casuals, so PM or post if you are around and wanna play.
 
It might be a good idea for anyone looking for casuals today to look at the Las Vegas Regional Matchmaking thread, it doesn't look like anything is going to happen, but make some noise there and maybe more people will want to play.

Going through the Pools now.

Pool D is going to have an epic first round match.. Cha2 vs malek.
Pool C has a match I'm somewhat interested in. NinjaCW vs Hayate.

Everyone else who's a familiar name to me has a bye. I'm sad.

I find it funny that David Sirlin is in Pool B.

Besides all of the above whatever bracket Kura is in I believe he will move on.

4th. (Linkrkc)

For those who are like wtf Malek over Linkrkc I think its entirely possible that Malek may indeed have the best Ivy as far as SCIV goes.
