Mmm... how many Hilde players would stick to her if she loses doom combo and she doesn`t get beffed up in her dmg?... Doom combo is the main reason for most of Hilde players, cause is an easy win, that`s the true.
I suffered a lot when Yoshi got nerfed in 1.03, but then started to research more things, and even now, Im still discovering things, maybe Hilde players should do the same, but what for, if u have doom combo, I would like to see a really good Hilde that combines all of her arsenal, besides just looking for an oportunity to land doom combo.
I don`t want HIlde to be banned, but to be used at her full potential, anyway, this is like politics, we will never agree.

Honestly, I picked her because the concept of charge moves was new to me at SC4's release and I think they're kinda cool. It turned out that she was the best; since I'm rusty and use a stick I've been having a hard time playing her lately.

The tourneyfags playing Hilde will stop playing her when she stops being the best. Some of us will still be playing her for other reasons, and SC4 is balanced enough that a few uphill matches won't matter to those of us who get better with her.

Look at Ivy, she probably had some uphill battles. Or maybe it's the player, and maybe some luck with stages.

You guys have to realize, Runis (and I) have been defending Hilde for a long-ass time, it's kinda refreshing for us to see Hilde lose because people realize that she's not going to assassinate the SC4 tourney scene for competitive players. But it's stirring up all this shit again for us, we went through this stupid-fucking-ass drama for many months after doom combo was discovered. There's a lot more discussion to be had, but having to discuss it like this with her STILL BEING on the verge of being banned even though she just lost EVO, it's just kinda stressful. I think Runis and I are just going to start linking people to the many threads that devolved into Hilde ban threads instead of listening to people bitch and moan about her after one of the best tournaments around.

Nori dude, what is your problem man. We've met, we have a mutual respect for eachother, but man you're just ragging on and on. You call Chach on his commentary, which was uncalled for. You moaning over and over about some booing that was all in good fun, now you're calling some kind of popularity contest? Are you having a bad weekend or what dude?

I reply when people mention my name in a post. Simple as that. I never used the words "ChaCha was awful at commentary". He just randomly decided to say I "talk shit just to talk shit", which obviously isn't true. If I have an opinion, I'm going to express it, and I have made the point I wanted to make. I've been running tournaments since SC2, and when people come, they are treated like kings, you of all people know how I am. So for ChaCha to say I talk shit to talk shit, it's pretty fucking stupid honestly.

Also, I'm the only one "moaning" over the booing. Why don't you start from page 1 and tally up how many people thought the booing was uncalled for. However, I don't want to start repeating myself, so again, I already made my point and he decided to call me out, so I defended myself. Simple as that. You just heard from one of the people that WERE booed above, that he would have preferred cheering over booing. Overall, my point was made, I really have no reason to be in the thread anymore unless more random comments are thrown my way.

That's because your combo is bullshit. I'd have a lot more respect for Hilde players if they just said "I'm picking her because I want to win, suck it" than these attempts at justifying her. Hilde has to get gipped on stages or drop her own combos to lose in the hands of anyone that can guess right ONCE. And Alex J already said it in another thread, if you land your combos, you win that match. So as awesome as KDZ played and as good a plan as he had vs Hilde, he STILL needed you to fuck up the combo multiple times to win.

Dude I know you're gonna come back with some kind of bullshit trying to bash my game or my tourney results, or justify Hilde as not being broken, but honestly if you just came out and said "I want to win so I'm gonna use this bullshit because it's in the game, fuck off" I'd have so much more respect for you and other Hildes. I'd just say you know what? You're right, play to win and do what it takes. But trying to justify this shit is just ridiculous.

Doesn't sound like the booing was that serious then. Well, according to the person who's doom combo got booed at. Besides, when you use a character like Hilde, you wouldn't have ever expected that kind of reaction from non-SC players? Doom combo looks like an easy-win button and you already know that.

Was a very fun tournament, however all that booing may end up bringing the downfall of you all at nationals.

Nats won't have the kind of turnout that Evo had when it comes to size (of course) and the type of players. 95%+ of the players at Nats are SC4 players and/or supporters not just SF4 fans, so why would they boo?

i think part of reason that the hildes.. or most americans in general lost to the ivy was that most of them didn't had good experience against her. Anyway, play those doom combos as much as you want, it'll be nerf sooner or later, as already seen in broken destiny.

I'm sorry if I couldn't afford the week off work and $5000 "economy" plane ticket to go to Evo. Just because someone isn't there doesn't mean they didn't want to be. You forget that some people are willing to wake up at 4 in the morning to catch the stream.

And no, Evo is run by people who get money are gear from Sponsors. Sponsors want a larger audience in regards to advertisement, and the Online people are by and far the larger Audience.
Look at the superbowl. You think everyone who actually cares about the result of the superbowl actually goes to see it? Do you really think that the people running the superbowl don't care about the billions in advertising revenue they get because of the larger audience watching on TV rather than in the stadium?

evo/B-series has been going on for 15 years now
a few years we had sponsorship but thats not what its about
it was founded by the cannon brothers, literal laborers of love
and they dont do it for money, BELIEVE that. theyre well off but thats none of your business

and the stream gets priority but not over the players live at the tournament

I think very few Hilde players think the doom combo is fair and balanced...I think a lot of us hate people who whine about it all the time. If it were patched out, people who actually want to play her would continue playing her. I'm hoping the doom combo is patched out so the bitching will stop, I just hope some of her other tools improve...

YEp that's me, I used to lvoe playing with Hilde until I realized all my matches were ending early. I don't prefer immediate kills because I like to finish the whole match, but hopefully Namco will fix her ring out priority.

You know, when playing online against the very few Hilde's I've seen, I used to complain about how they're all so charge-happy, that the screen is literally white and blue throughout the whole match, but now that I think about it, why would you use anything else? Aside from her charges she's not that hot of a character. I use A+B, 4B+K, and 7_8_9K are useful tools, but she really doesn't have much going for her.
