Full-page ads are really obnoxious.

I'm glad I managed to teach people a new word, obnoxious is on it's way back!
There's a difference between advertisement and intrusive advertisement, which is the core of what I'm bitching about.

Stealing is immoral, which you freely admit to doing. I don't steal, which means yes, I have moral superiority. I don't need to claim it, it's there.

Your claim of what amounts to a logical fallacy is a fallacy in and of itself(ad-hom/straw). I.e. A murder speaking out against murder doesn't make murder less immoral. Since you're essentially claiming that since I support advertisement, I shouldn't bitch about intrusive advertisement. Because it's obviously a black and white issue(another fallacy).

Learn to read. I didn't say you're claiming moral superiority, I'm saying you're trying to display it. The fact of the matter though, is that your moral superiority pretty much amounts to nothing because it just doesn't matter to anyone. What does matter though is that you're whining about advertisements is annoying (granted it doesn't really matter to anyone either because nobody actually has to read it).

And I wasn't saying using adblockers were somehow less immoral because you were bitching about advertisements. I claimed that your bitching was more obnoxious, which is a totally different claim. It wasn't even an argument, it was just an observation that you're a really petty idiot with no real intention to persuade anything about any sort of moral value.

It seems to matter to you. Just sayin'

Rest of that is just gibberish back-pedaling. I understand though, gotta save face.

Really all I want is the full-page ads gone, they're annoying. Hell I'll put this out, I'll buy a premium membership for a month if they're removed for everyone, since according to Jaxel they should make less than $2/month.

Wow, reading comprehension problems much? Or maybe math problems, since 4*5<2, lol.

I'm on a private forum with like ~300 members total and it costs between $200 and $300 a year to keep it running well.

Wow, reading comprehension problems much? Or maybe math problems, since the total of all ads paid is ~$5 and not exclusively the full-page ads.

lol

I can't wait to see how you try and save face this time.

The full page adds give us 169c CPM, but they show up far far less. In the last 7 days, adbrite has paid out $5.53.

Note how all this "saving face" hasn't even been putting a spin on anything. It was basically quoting word for word stuff that was already said, and you keep on making a fool of yourself by not understanding the main point of simple sentences. I seriously have no idea how you can go about arguing about "logical fallacies" when you don't even seem to understand the simple relationships between nouns, adjectives, and verbs.

I don't even need to point it out anymore, since you've taken to quoting your idiocy yourself. It's honestly amusing that you sit there thinking you've won some small victory, that by somehow quoting the phrase that proves you're an idiot, it somehow scores you a small point.

I'll break it down for you, trust me, you need it:

Does that say, full page ads have paid out $5.53? It says AdBrite, as in, the entire thing, and you somehow think you're the master of language? hah, what a joke.

Even if Jaxel responded to correct his statement to mean that it's full page ads that pay that. You'd still be an idiot for trying to make that assertion from a broad generalization.

Dude, you linked the page that explained AdBrite. AdBrite is not affilliated with the banners (play-asia and NVGA, lol) I think process of elimination, as well as reading the description of the AdBrite service you linked leads to a very obvious deduction.

If you want more math based reasoning, 2 dollars is less than half the revenue of advertisements given in a week from the adbrite service. It takes some very creative salesmanship to sell a whole month of full page ads for a return of less than 1/8 of the total advertisement revenue for the month. But nobody should possibly make such a dumb assumption.

Oh, I see what's going on. The right banner doesn't even load on my browser, so you can win the argument that adbrite is not just the full page ads(Though you still argued that that banner makes over 7/8s of the month's advertisement revenue whatever that means).

Whatever the case, you clearly read cents per mil as cents per month, which is completely wrong, even though Jaxel explained it to you.

lol, if you say so dude, if you say so.

So the other day I'm visiting this site and I try to close a window like normal then i get this: "Are you sure you wish to navigate away from this site?" What the hell? So I know better than to click on this thing. I click the x on the window and it pops up again. Ooookay. That's bad I think. I'll just open up task manager and close firefox by force.

Beautiful. But when this tab tried to close 50 thousand pop up windows came up. I pull the plug on my computer because it's just pointless to issue close commands. My homepage was set by one of these windows to some shitty site that sells watches. I noticed that right before this happened that the site got some new advertisers, good I thought, more advertisers more revenue, more diverse sources of revenue. I guess Jaxel's been really hustling. A few days later i get the hijack on closing an 8way page, now I'm getting full page ads. So I think maybe Jaxel has put on a different hat and become business Jaxel. Maybe another website could also support ads, maybe those ads could generate more revenue, maybe Jaxel could work from home?

So also guys, not gonna lie, but if you visit here every day (like I do), ponying up some money so Jaxel can keep the site open works.

Oh, also, Jaxel, can our 8WR subscriptions carry over to AH? ...Prease?

I seriously have a full page ad everyday, but I don't care. All you do is click the "skip ad" button at the top right, and VIOLA!!!!!!!!! IT'S GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it seems the majority of us don't mind the new ads... but what's funny to me is how Celestein's whining brought a bunch of other people to start whining about his whining... lmao, I guess you could say for the man that atleast he's offering alternatives and appears to be trying to be helpful.

Also, I've seen the ads several times on my PC but never on my phone's browser though I do encounter some kind of failure to load a page every once in a while, refresh won't even work... I wonder if it's my phone's failure to read the ad script...
