Game of Thrones Discussion Thread (Books and Show)

I JUST THOUGHT
"They didn't suckle your milk from your breast."
What Dany said "But they are all I have."
What she WANTED to say "Do you think I was playing cards with them all night?"

I remember something, I think in the last chapter of GoT, that one of them was sucking on her breast because she was no doubt carrying breast milk since she was SUPPOSED TO HAVE RHAEGO GOD FUCKING DAMNIT.
That seems painful though.
Daenerys would have become a much weaker character if she had not lost Rhaego. A human child is much easier to take care of than three baby dragons that refuse to eat...

I wrote a really terrible poem about Cersei in my Pre-Cal class today:

"Gold shall be their crowns,
and gold their shrouds."
The tears would
drown her one day,
and then would come
the valonqar.

Queen Cersei I,
a lion of Casterly Rock
and trueborn daughter
of Lord Tywin Lannister,
would not cringe
for her dire losses.

"A lion never weeps,"
her father had told
her once. Cersei
found that all he left
was death and grief.

So I'm playing Final Fantasy IX because fuck you it's the best one.
I get to the part where we reach Burmecia, land of the DRAGON KNIGHTS, which is getting it's ass handed to it by another, invading Kingdom.

As we reach the gates, Freya, a DRAGON KNIGHT, declares:

I thought you guys might enjoy that. Especially SophieChan.

Respect for Square = Restored.

Reviving the thread again:

CREATE AN IDEAL COURT IN KING'S LANDING

Queen Daenerys Targaryen, called Stormborn, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm. Called the Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea and Breaker of Chains

Her hand, Tyrion, of House Lannister. Lord of Casterly Rock and Warden of the West

Her Lord Commander of the Queensguard, Ser Barristan Selmy

Her Master of Coin, Tycho Nestoris (that guy from the Iron Bank. I JUST DIDN'T WANT BAELISH OKAY)

Her Grand Maester, Archmaester Marwyn, called the Mage

Her Master of Ships, Victarion, of House Greyjoy. Lord of Pyke and the Iron Islands

Her Master of Whisperers, Varys/Qyburn/Arya Stark

Her Master of Law, Lady Arianne, of House Martell

So I'm at the point of CoK where Gendry finds out Arya's actually a girl and just... This whole exchange is filled with sexual tension, namely this little sentence:
"Desperate to escape the subject of the cock she didn't have."
Like, come on, George. Let them have sex with Gendry willing to flash her n everything. COME. ON.

I really wanted to see naked Joe Dempsie. Supposedly, season three is going to have more guys rather than girls getting naked :D

Watch Skins then.

FF9 is just beautiful in every way.

Replaying it, there genuinely isn't a bit of it that I don't like. All the areas are perfect, the music the characters (aside from Amarant. He adds nothing) and the pacing especially. The jokey funtime pantomime beginnings before it turns into a dark operatic end... It's just so good. (Though I'm in denial about the ending.)

Also, thanks Landslide, you got me that "2000+ likes" trophy thing. You made me a Hero. =|:'})

Hah! No problem!

Also, I'm a big fan of certain Square titles. I feel that FF9, FF12 and Vagrant Story are nearly perfect experiences. Everything about those games just comes together perfectly.

I really like the music in FF7, but that game doesn't hold up as well as those other titles, in my opinion.

12 was great, though I always felt it was playing itself, and it got a bit repetitive at times. (A feeling I, conversely, did NOT get with 13), but I loved it all the same. Never played Vagrant Story, and I'm still trying to get hold a copy. At this point I'm tempted to just emu it.

7 is a huge case of nostalgia for me. I loved it back then, but it hasn't aged as well as a LOT of people seem to make it out to've. It was a great game at the time but, there were other games of the same period that I could still sit down with today. (Breath of Fire 3, for example, gets me all kinds of wet.)

Apparently they'll remake 7 if they ever make a game that they feel matches or tops it. Which with all the spin-offs is never going to happen.

I hasten to add that X was beautiful too!

For the sake of relevance and because I know SophieChan is already furious over the notifications not being GoT related, I think Hodor is related to the the great Other or whatever he's known as.
