First Study: Guard Burst
Yellow : nb of hits to get yellow glow
Red: nb of hits to get red glow
Guard Burst : nb of hits to get Guard Burst (x means the move cant trigger Guard Burst)
Combo Starter : slowest combo starter that connect after guard burst
(fastest to slowest starter : 6B, 44B, 4A, 66B_GS B)

my stapple combo after GB : CH 44B, NSS A+B, 2A+B
best combo mid screen with BE : GS B, GS B, GS K BE

Guard gauge doesnt refill while laying on the ground or guarding
it does refill at the same rate while 8wayrunning in any direction,
landing hits doesnt refill your gauge nor does Guard Impact ( you can even lose some gauge while doing a GI)

I dunno. I'm using () instead of [] to avoid the stupid formatting. like WR (B). it still looks kinda messy but I'm not sure how to fix that. it's readable at least it's just not pretty

Is there a way we can put the numbers into a table? It's kinda hard to read as is. Maybe the wiki?

I think until we can put the values in a table, group all of the attacks by the number of hits till guard burst.

Kinda like what mikosu put in the SCIV early soul gauge damage studies.

i foresee guard bursting will be NM's main strategy in this game, 66B, GS B, 66A, 44A are the very reliable guard crushers and getting free 100+ damage off of it is awesome. but using them also run into the risk of being just guarded, they are pretty slow and any competitive player can just guard them easily, not a bright future for NM :/

Only Chang's Fd should be able to just guard them reliably lol.

omg your right if people learn how to just guard against nightmare we are screwed.

I don't think we should worry about it too much. If they screw up and get hit these moves hurt a lot, so unless they are very confident they won't wanna risk it I think.

I believe Sp1d3r is the one who made it look prettier.

I am mostly just posting here to note that 2B+K BE only guard bursts if it is blocked up close. If they only block the low tremor it seems to do absolutely nothing to their guard meter.

update post-patch:
AA : a bit better
A2A : a bit worse
WS A : better 13 -> 12 for burst
2B : huge nerf, cant burst anymore
FC B : can still burst but worse number
j.A_j.B : huge nerf, cant burst anymore
WS K : buffed, can burst now for guaranteed GS B starter
66B, 22B, 44B : burst in 8 instead of 9 (might be wrong testing first time)
66B+K : a bit better
