iCS/CS and SS information

I somehow managed my very first iCS in quick battle vs. "Ring." while trying to unlock Algol. I was quite surprised to see it come out because I never got it before even in Training mode.

its now offline or online, its just sometimes easier because ur now trying to do it, if your in the "zone" you can do it everytime.

I remember i was once i did it 7 times in a row, on a fight stick now i can never get it

That's what I keep saying! Somehow it's easier to perform an iCS online then offline. So far I did 500% more iCSs online.

That's probably because of lag input.

Because commands (A, B, K, G) have a higher priority than direction, pressing B+G at normal pace offline will come out 'sooner' online. For example, taking the last 4 commands of CS (666 B+G):

Person X average: 6 (2 frames), 6 (2 frames) 6 (8 frames because he tends to hold it down at the end) B+G.

If he presses B+G at the exact same timing but with online lag, he gets:

6 (2 frames), 6 (2 frames), 6 (8 frames) BUT the game recognizes he pressed B+G at frame 4 due to lag, rather than frame 8 normally. As B+G takes priority over 6, 6 is essentially pressed for 4 frames instead.

This example coincidentally puts this person within one of the requirements of iCS, which is 4 frame directional inputs.

Of course, being in the zone helps as well. :)

I've given up trying to attempt iCS. From what I've heard it's not very rewarding anyway.

I haven't been able to do iCS at all since I've had this game, lol. Maybe it's because I'm just not used to doing it on d-pad. I always used analog in SCIV.

It's hard on both d-pad and analog. The latter one is more problematic, because pressing one direction three time (666) on analog in 5 frames each is stupid hard and uncomfortable.

The potential 31 damage boost (or 43, if you manage to get clean hit back throw) of iCS compared to a regular old CS can be convenient. But unless you're able to pull it off consistently, it's more than likely not worth it. However, if your iCS mistakes at least turn into CS, there's no point in not trying.

ics on a stick is next to impossible, i can do it on a controller but on a stick i cant get it, i have now clue how i did it 7 times in a row one time, im actually annoyed at this move, its crazy hard, cant buffer it, 20 dmg boost? not worth iti can to 20 extra by stabin someone. I really like the flash though, i hope in the next patch they fix this trash move.

Something curious about CS buffering.

Situation: You put out 2A.
Scenario A: 2A hits, buffered into CS.
Scenario B: 2A is blocked, cancel buffer into CS to press G. Opponent BB's.

That was what I thought the situation is, up until now. Apparently, if you time it right, you can buffer in 2828 at the last frames of 2A and option select CS. If 2A hits as in scenario A, you proceed normally. However, if 2A is blocked and you just finished inputting the last 8, you can do:

2828(G)4666 (wait for blockstun to be over) release G B+G

Technically, you can start buffering 2828 during G, but then you may accidentally block low.

I haven't found out why this sometimes doesn't work though. I'm not sure if I'm just inputting it too slow, or if I should wait out the blockstun a little further before pressing B+G. Little more experimentation needed.
