is there any "tricks" to quickly unlock all gear?

Recently i found my save game has been deleted for no reason... just gone for some reason :(

So I am trying to get back all my gear so I can rebuild my own Soul Formulas... so... Is there any little tricks you can say to quickly open the gear.. like should I play Story mode or Arcade or Tower UP/DOWN... like what is the fastest way to unlock all this stuff again... ?
 
The best way that I know of is to ascend to the very top of the tower to floor 60. Use a team of Xianghuas or Kiliks, go to the ring edge and use thier moves which have them lie down on the floor. Eventually, Algol should voluntarily ring himself out. There will be rare occasions where he won't, but all you have to do is keep repeating this stage over and over again until you get the desired about of money. You'll get about 12,500 each time. I figure that in order for you to have enough money to obtain all weapons and equipment, it should take several hours.
 
The money isn't so much the problem.. i am curious on "how" you unlock new gear? or is that just on total money you earn or somthing

Ok cool.. so just try to get the honors.. cool... I was just going to play though story on all toons... this should be faster.. apart form those time sensitive ones like "walk X thousand steps" and stuff,..

Actually on Xbox Live marketplace u can buy(i think it cost money) some DLC that unlocks all the armor and equipment...dont know about PSN

At the PSStore you can purchase all weapons and some helmets. However, not all equipment.
 
Well honestly the easist way is to buy the LE edtion of the game. But ill have to agree with isanekent that is useally the quickist. Doing arcade mode is to cause if you don't lose you get 15000 for beating arcade mode.

And it comes with all gear unlocked?!

My ps3 did the same bs and erased my sc file...
I have nothing left and dread starting over
 
yeh the limited edition comes with "equipment not found anywhere on the planet" or so they claim. i saw it at game stop the other day. also fo u up for some games?

I should be on tonight, Im behind on my Christmas shopping so it might be a 50/50.

No the limited edition just comes with:

For males:
Uniform top
Business suit with tie top
Formal pants
Leather loafers (aka dress shoes)

For females:
Sailor school top (Just think sailor moon's top)
Knit vest school top
Blazer school top
Knee socks
Loose socks
Checkered plaid skirt

How to unlock all equipment is simple (except DLC ones and limited edition ones)
Get those honors and beat Tower of lost souls.
By then, you should have mostly everything.

I think you misunderstood what i said. What i was trying to say is getting LE gives you a good head start on the honors so you don't have to keep beating the game and stuff.
 
Go to ToLS and pick asta and spam the hell out of 1A,B. and pick yun and spam the hell out of 6BB. you have to acuire honors in order to unlock stuff. Goind through the ToLS and spamming asta and yun is a very quick easy way to earn money. You will also unlock treaure chests pretty much on acciedent....see this here to figure out what you have to do on each stage to unlock the chest

also the more stuff you buy the more you unlock as well.

you still have to go through story mode with each character to unlock thier "joke" weapon and then purchase those!!

Um how? I actually own the LE pack, my friend.
The business and school set is all you get from that.
It does not give you a head start on honors.
Unless you count "having business and school set" as an honor ;).
 
Just get 30 archievements. That's all... It took me like about 2-3 weeks... But at least it's better than getting till' floor 60 and getting the treasure chests for each.

I have 30 Honors and I don't have the equipment... sorry. :) By the way, what system do you play SCIV on ?

But in all seriousness, you should have it all, except for the DLC if you haven't downloaded it. You can always try to get a particular piece in ToLS. Which parts don't you have?

Oh nevermind. I have the equipment that you recieve up to 30, but I was expecting more honors = the "School" equipment, I recently looked it all up and it is a DLC that isn't available in the US, nor NA.
