[Japan] All Visitors To Japan

Back from LA, had a great time.

Didn't miss my computer much, I feel like a quiet mode is comin on.

Have one month to go to DOA5.

Bought my ticket for TGS.
In English:
http://tgs.cesa.or.jp/index.html

Sat 9/22 is a national holiday but don't know if I have to work so bought a ticket for Sun (1,000 Yen).
My son decided not to go. No MS booth this year...
I'll probably be getting pamphlets and then will be stickin by the TN booth for DOA5 (which will be released a few days after).
Didn't get the Supporter's Club Ticket cause I have enough t-shirts.

Looks like they corrected both to say the DOA5 exhibition match is Sun!
Yay, I can watch it and then watch the KT cosplay!!

Info on the DOA5 comp at TGS on Sunday:
http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/doa5/tgs2012.html

Only 16 can enter and signups start from opening to 11 so you better hurry up!
You have to use their controllers, maybe they will have sticks?

I hope to watch, prob won't get there in time to enter (I'm gonna need prac to be any good anyways).

TGS tom!

See that maybe >16 can enter the DOA5 comp but I'm hopin to just watch.

Kali getting the loop ponies and Leifang cos on, oh I love it!:

Back from TGS.

Saw the DOA5 comp finals and saw the director take on time attack for 10 min in the Sony booth.
The producer was standin by me but I didn't have anything to say at the time and it was so quick that I didn't even think to say hi.

Also saw the Kojima team (for the new MGS comin next year).
The guy that did Raiden's voice and Kojima was there.
Everyone that watched (and there were many) got a special foldout paper.

Went to the Mad Catz booth and said hi to MarkMan.
Also saw Daigo, Fudo and Tokido.
My coworker got Daigo's sig (and I took pics).
Talked to Tokido (he said he will play DOA5).

Went to the Razer booth and little did I know at the time- I played GamerBee (was it?- no it wasn't see EDIT below) in VF!
I said I don't know VF and he said it's the same.
Well I beat him w/my Pai, did I win for real?
He is a nice and cool.
The stick is sick, want one went it hits.

Saw Isabella Neo and Hatchobori as well (and said hi).

If Kali and her Leifang woulda been there she woulda ruled the cosplay area.
There were a few good ones but not as good as hers is gonna be.

EDIT
GamerBee answered my Tweet, wasn't him cause he didn't play any VF today. Guess the Lazer guy looked like him. Oh well.
Still was good cause I was able to apply my SC skillz to VF to get the win.

Forgot to say this about the MGS live I saw yesterday at TGS.

The MC asked the crew what they will do if they can't release on the set date.
They said they will release on the date and not be late (sometime in Feb next year?)

One guy said he will publish an embarrassin pic on his FB and/or Twitter.
One said he will change his name card to 'loser' and use it for 1 year.
Another said he will say sorry to some big # of people (like 50,000), the MC said that will take a year.
The voice actor didn't have to join this challenge.

And Kojima- he said if they are late he WILL make part 2.

They then joked they don't know if it's better to be late on purpose (and do what they said) or to be on time but maybe not get a part 2.

Passing through Japan with a 13 hour layover in Tokyo on Monday 17th. Since you guys all work I'm guessing there'd be no one I could get a few games in with is there? Do you guys know any Console Cafe's around Tokyo? I'm Fluent in Japanese and I know the subway system well enough to get around. Otherwise I'm just going to cruise around Akiba or Shibuya.

Sorry, I'll be workin.

Internet Cafes have consoles but usually PS2s as far as I know.
Don't know if any have PS3s or 360s.

Narita is about an hour outta Tokyo.
Aki, Shibuya or Shinjuku have arcades and internet cafes.
Have fun and enjoy your short stay here!
