Kilik BD Changes

Kura recently got to play SC:BD, and he tried out Kilik.

I asked him about Asura and apparently it got nerfed pretty hard.

- The second hit doesn't track anymore
- Damage is slightly less
- GI window is smaller
- It still auto GI's all mids except kicks and now stabs. So only mid weapon slash attacks get GI'd.

The fact that stabs don't work anymore is a major nerf. :(
 
I think it's a good nerf, it makes things a little more fair. Shortening the GI window makes it less spamable and not GI'ing stabs gives other characters more options to counter Asura. Also the damage was a bit much before.

When you say the second hit doesn't track do you mean you won't reverse direction if your opponent steps around you, or do you mean that the second hit whiffs if you're off axis?
 
what are the mid stab moves characters have ? pretty rare moves aren't they ?
here is what I can think about :

- 44B (X, Yun, Raph, Amy, Cerv, and Mitsu's 4B)
- Amy 4B+K / 6B+K / 66B+K (but 66B+K is never used out of a combo)
- Some of Raph's moves such as 4B, 3B
- Soph 236236B (and 236B but that move isn't likely to get asura it's punish only)
- Mitsu A+B6 (super unsafe, only useful post GI imho)
- Siegfried 6B, not a too good move

A lot of others ? I can't think of many more mid stabs...
 
totally gay. if 2nd move doesn't track, at least make the 2nd hit safe. so there IS an out option of Asura.

GI window is fine, but removing stabs is pretty stupid, damage is also fine

What else? Im not sure what the defintion of a "Stab" move is...is Sophies 4B+K a stab Move??
 
Yes, Sophi's 4B+K counts as a stab move. Any move that goes in a forward motion rather than a slashing motion is considered a stab.

In SC4 I know Voldo's BS A+B auto-GI's all highs and mids, except kicks and stabs. So if you're not sure if a move is a stab you can test it on that.
 
I support all those nerfs except the no stab counter which sucks. Though seeing how characters are getting damage buffs all over the place i'm not to fond of the damage nerf so I hope he gets general damage buffs as well to compensate for the damage nerf on Asura. Though I hope the JF still does 80-Damage since its so pro.

General Info: The damage numbers in parenthesis relate to SC:BD over SC4.

Combos:

Asura JF = 72-Damage (-8-Damage) (Pro)
Asura = 67-Damage (-2-Damage)

iFotD~Asura JF = 81-Damage (+1-Damage) (Pro)
iFotD~Asura = 77-Damage (+3-Damage)

WsB = 58-Damage (+4-Damage)

MO K, 6B+K = 57-Damage (+11-Damage)
MO A, 46B, 6AAA = 64-Damage (+14-Damage)

A+B, 66B, 66B = 81-Damage (+1-Damage)
A+B, 46B, 6AAA = 89-Damage (+9-Damage)

1B[CH], 22_88B, A+K = 68-Damage (+5-Damage)
1B[CH], 22_88B, 3kB = 77-Damage (+14-Damage)

22_88B, A+K = 56-Damage (-1-Damage)
22_88B, 3kB, 6B+K = 77-Damage (+7-Damage)

66B [CH]: = 46-Damage (+8-Damage)

Note 1: Asura Dance JF is in the menu!
Note 2: Asura Dance Post iFotD has received a minor-medium size buff. The combo can no longer be angled in the air for the benefit of the opponent at all. No slight turning whatsoever. This means 3kB is no longer needed as a substitute for straight ring-outs.
Note 3: The second 1B counter hit combo is a buff but deceiving. For those that do not know in SC4 if you tech-ed backward or forward I believe after getting hit by 3kB you lose 24 extra damage (dirty secret I kept from the masses; sorry). If u tech sideways I believe it was 11 or so extra damage. What they have done is guaranteed that damage without tech in SC:BD. Similar rules apply to the same combo but with 22_88B as the starter but in SC4 it didn't scale the same for that combo.

Properties:

Asura:
1. No longer GI's stabs.
2. No longer tracks.
3. GI and Tech-Jump window equals tighter.

Working on the rest.
 
I like what I here so far. Only nerf has been on Asura. Everything else is a buff.

SU do you feel the input is exactly the same for JF Asura. Any easier/harder?
 
1B [CH], 22B, 3kB, 6B+K = The new combo and 1B [CH], 22B, A+K is no longer needed. The same rule applys for Amy, Xianghua in which both combos used to whiff. It no longer does unless u have direct face contact sometimes.

This equals a buff since it is now 77-Damage as the standard from that combo and 22B, 3kB, 6B+K.

Stepping has been beefed up in general so yes it apply's to him to.

Because some of the hitbox issues have been cleaned up. Step A+B no longer misses hits on any character or at certain angles. Also A+B, 46B, 6AAA works on almost every character from what I can tell at close range so thats another slight buff.

MO has been buffed in general and I can 100% tell its on purpose. Even MO B does 36-Damage on its own now. However in the grand scheme of Kiliks design nothing from MO is a buff in the overall picture because he still does more damage without it. Take that for what u will.
