Le Bello's Challenging Create-A-Soul Challenge Contest!

My vote's going to go to Pocky Yoshi. His design is unique and quirky while remaining faithful to the original character. It also has a nice hat.

This wasn't an easy choice by any stretch. There were a lot of neat little touches in each creation and I particularly liked things like Pascuzzi's multi-coloured feathers, Sprtn's tattoo thing, Leona's little bit of stitching holding the pareo together, Yoshariolll's "belt", Vilarcane's puppet strings and NeclordX's dark twist on a familiar face, among others.

All in all, I've learned quite a lot from this challenge and anything you learn from is probably worthwhile. Maybe. I'll get back to you on that. Maybe.

Vote goes to Pocky Yoshi. I was kinda stuck between his and Fliptop's, but I feel Pocky scores more points for originality.
 
Actually, vilarcane's puppet may be the most original. It just creeps me out lol.

Haha, that's one Crazed Ferret. And... no one here probably gets my joke. Oh well.
 
Thanks to everyone giving me honorable mentions! I don't need to win, I just like to know people like it... (but winning would me nice too... :D)
But anyway, my vote! I'm stuck between ThePascuzzi, d_b, Fliptop, and Pocky Yoshi...

Pas's I fell in love with first... I belive it truly acheived elegance to an extent that no one else's did. That thing with pocket sticker over the body looks amazing! And the bladed tonfa was a good idea.

d_b had a Talim that also caught my eye, It just very mature and strong looking. I could totally see Talim growing up like that. And cool use of the Butterfly Antennae!
PS- The story captivateed me too!

Fliptop... It isn't anything specific I suppose... I just like the way that it all comes together. The wanderer idea was cool, I miss the hat, but the Elegant Bob looks great on Talim.

Pocky Yoshi, simple, original, and like Pocky said: a great way to depict a happy ending! Plus y'know, props for finding a use for the carrots.

...Alright... my descision is... ThePascuzzi! This one was on my mind the whole competition, I just had to pick it!

Ha ! I was wondering if my masterpiece (you can even see her in action in my vids) would get me a single vote...i also think it is the most original (and my background story written a la cartoon and creepy/cute pics), but i can't vote for myself, and i think people either forgot about it, or just thought it was too far from what they thought Talim should look like.
Ok, i have seen some nice designs, but nothing that struck me, sincerely, admittedly the carrot thing of Pocky made me laugh, but Pocky himself wouldn't call that a masterpiece, would he ?

So i am dissapointed, but there is nothing at stake, but my pride in doing it, so no harm done folks...

I can only thank the the Wombat for giving me some support, and i will tell you my vote in a sec ;o)

my vote goes to d_b (butterfly antenna talim), because the design is sober and elegant, the use of the antenna is original, and the face suits a 30 year old Talim nicely.
 
Hmm, this is difficult.
My favourite CaS here is definitely Vilarcane's Talim Puppet, and I love the story given to her. However, I think I'll vote for a character that really takes into account all of Talim's qualities from the previous games for her SCV rebirth.

So my vote goes to Fliptop.
Even though it's not the most original here, I just love the combination of the elegant, delicate nature of the design and the more mature features. And the fact that she still looks awesome even without the hat.
 
As a Talim fan, I really enjoyed seeing all the unique creations and to Le Bello, I heartily thank you for creating this contest. Now that the time for voting has come, it's certainly difficult to choose but in the end, I cast my vote for Fliptop. The design could really work for my lovely priestess and there's just something about the design that does remind me of her. I would have liked her to have long hair but that's just me personally lol.
Leona was a close second since I've found the design to be very appealing and Pocky-Yoshi's design deserves to be recognized for the incredible originality and humor (I was really entertained lol).
 
There are so many good ones, but ultimately, I choose Fliptop's design. It's really elegant and like the hair styles used on it. :)
 
Crazy thought, but what if we got all these Talim recreations together online in a series of fights? Perhaps a friendly online tournament of some sort? For sure, we'd get some good footage out of it. How about it? Anyone interested?

I'd love to. I don't have the ability to make anything other than a mickey mouse rigged, poor quality video. However, if someone who had that capability wants to get into a match and is on PSN I'm down

Aha, much obliged, Le Bello! I don't think I even got a vote, that round... but if anything, that's just motivation to do better next time around! I doubt I'll be able to take on your new challenge, since I'll be away for a week or so, but I'll definitely be checking in every now and then to see how things are going.
 
Congratulations to the winners! And also, congratulations to all the entrants as there wasn't a single bad design in here. And congratulations to Le Bello for a challenge that got so much of the community involved... Wow, that was a lot of congratulating.

I really really wanted to enter the next competition, and it's even more annoying because I'm planning on making a few SCV 1P costumes in CaS (as I want to swap their movesets around for the lulz).
However, I'm afraid I won't have my ps3 back, not even by the 18th :/

Anyhoo, I'll look forward to seeing what people post this time.

I don't know if Ill try to submit anything, recreate the SCV costumes? I don't see the point, but meh, may be if Im bored Ill make a try
