WR A+B NCC. Please. <_< And I wish the secoond shot of 6BA was faster. I get stepped then hit because she takes her time swinging.

So I'm starting to think that Leixia might just be one of those characters that's really only as good as the player is smart. But you have to play super smart because of the low damage output and shit. That's her main inherent flaw to work around. Ahhhh I want to play and get better. Fuck work.

<_> In other words, she's not bad so much as she lacks a distinctive effectiveness. Kinda like bad but not quite.

Nightmare sukx. Lol.

Pretty much. Theoretically she has every tool necessary to compete, but a low damage output means that her punishes and mix-ups aren't as scary.

You mean every tool except damage, which in this game is a huge shortcoming. She'll never really be able to compete because there are characters who have what she has, only better or what she has, only better and a high-ish to high damage output.

There's an old (5 months) saying on these boards: Mitsurugi - The better Leixia.

That's essentially what I said. :P

Can't really argue with that.

Naah, you were less clear. "Theoretically she has every tool necessary to compete, but a low damage output means that her punishes and mix-ups aren't as scary."

You said that she has every tool necessary to compete. You also tacked on that her low damage output made her less scary, but the implication that she has every tool necessary to compete was still there. In my opinion, she doesn't have every tool to compete because the low damage output overrules pretty much every single one of her strengths.

This is arguing semantics mang. She has the tools, but the low damage dilutes those tools into borderline uselessness. When he said "every" I highly doubt he literally meant every. Or "Every tool except damage" or he just meant "She has the tools" and the wording was of little importance to him because I got what he meant.

would it be OP if her aB feints ( 6B aB, etc) had an i18 window instead of an i20 window?

EDIT: i was refering to what i got in pre patch.

NH 6B aB feint is i18
NH 4A+B feint is about i16.

I don't think. But her 6BA/BaB sucks major ass. You can 2A after the B part and beat out everything. They tried to set it up as "LOL THEY HAVE TO GUESS" but really, they don't. Duckable high-high strings generally prove to be OP. i13 punisher niche it is then.

Funny story: I don't use Leixia, but not too long ago, I picked one of my customs by mistake with her style. I made a seasoned Alpha-Pat ragequit on me. I'm surprised I even put up a fight :P

Of course, if you 2A and they don't finish the string, that's still a mixup.

It doesn't matter what Leixia does after 6B unless she just stops and blocks. If Leixia does anything after 6B (6BA/6BaB), a low poke will beat her every single time without the opponent having to make any kind of a read.

Well, you could 44B, but obviously that's a huge risk...

Too slow for the most part and far-reaching low pokes will actually poke her out of 44B. The hitbox on 44B is smaller than it looks. Or you can just do what I do: 44B+K their asses. It backsteps 44B and 6BaB and aGI's 6BA. I do it without even thinking about it; pure muscle memory.

Unless they are blindly committing to a 2A/2K, they have to wait for you to do something until they can punish. If you can't figure out what to do with these kinds of situations, it's not that leixia is an awful character, she just doesn't fit your style.

I'm not really afraid of eating a 2A/2K and am perfectly fine with forcing an 8B/string/throw/block mixup.

The tip to 2A/2K was just the easiest way out of the 6BA/6BaB, which was being trumpeted around as a useful mix-up. No it isn't. 6B * 8B/throw/whatever, however, is not 6BA/6BaB. If you wanna combat every single one of her options after 6B, there are many ways to deal with them. Leixia can, for instance, just 3B her face. I'm pretty sure that shuts down Leixia's every single option after 6B.

The obvious answers would be step, just guard, block. If they don't react instantly to your 6B, which is very possible unless they're just waiting for it, then a 6BA will counter hit as well.

6B isn't punishable, and it forces a mixup situation where you can convert a simple poke to damage and frame advantage. If you want to play Leixia, you have to understand how to turn knowledge like "6BA is punishable" into a tool to set your opponent up to make a mistake. It's more or less rock paper scissors that rewards you for figuring out your opponents habits and breaking down their mental toughness.
