Leixia Q&A/General Strategy Thread

Hey all, I was wondering how Leixia's jumping attacks, aside from that wonderful midair double kick 8kk(?) could be used more effectively. Any tips?

well im not that good but when someone does a low attack try to jump and use her vertical jumping attack. not sure if this works though never tried it. next, 3B followed by 8kk. Usually you have to use leixia's jumping attacks in two hit combos to 4 hit combos. they cannot usually be used on the own except for Ben Xing and 8kk. I don't know any tips for the horizontal attack sorry. 8kk is good with attacks which thrust the opponent into the air, high.

Perhaps more 3AA/3A FC moves are required in my arsenal. Starting to feel like I'm still sorta playing this character wrong. A little too much defense and not enough buttons.

Huh. I have the opposite problem. I play extremely aggressively without much care for stuff like frames. Most games I put my opponent in the red by the end of round one.

Beginner here. I know that WR A+B is her low wake-up but it's kinda discouraging knowing it's -18 on block.
Question:
Is WR A+B, B interruptable mid-way?
And if it is, does the side step during WR A+B, bB evade verts (specifically, basic launchers)?

It's even worse than this cause if the first hit gets blocked you get the second one ducked cause it's high. The thing is against good competition it will rarely get blocked because it's not exactly reactable and the threat of FC 3B is big.

WR A+B B is interruptable if the first attack is blocked.

The sidestep on the bB variation isn't very good. It comes out late, and moves slowly. I'm sure there are some linear moves you could evade with it, but I wouldn't count on it in a real match.

After hitting with WR A+B, try mixing up between the low and BB.

On hit WS A+BB is not interruptible, but on block it is. And the sidestep thing evades like 3 moves. I think it did better pre-patch, but I don't remember. I know I was a bit more successful back then at evading with it.

Hey, is Leixia's sidestep just really really crappy, or is this game actually just a 2D fighter where you can dodge things once in a while?

I swear at least 50% of verts people throw out at me while I'm sidestepping hit me. What's up with that?

There's a quickstep rank list in the tactics forum. Leixia was pretty low on it.

This may have been answered already. but I would like to know, when it is the best time to use 44k? I rarely use this move, I was wondering if it is an important Leixia tool.

Use 44K as a guard breaker to set up Leixia's 44[A] combos.

44K is good to use after hitting with 4A+B or after BT B+K.

It's also useful if you have trained them not to roll/step, then land moves like 44A, 6K K, or a throw.
