Lightening Returns Final Fantasy XIII

It looks the same lol.

I've never had any beef with the FFXIII franchise. Thought the first game was....... ok, not awful but not great.
Thought XIII-2 was quite good, big improvement over XIII in almost every way, albeit i hate story DLC....
And so i will get this game as a FF and jrpg fan because i don't care.

The thing is i'm not hype about it, i wasn't hype over any FF game since before XI and will never be again until GOD DAMN VERSUS XIII COMES OUT.

The game looks interesting, hope interesting translates to good later on.

But in reality all i want is Versus XIII, the reason i have a PS3, and Type-0 which is quite good as well.
 
Not gonna lie, I like me some lightning. About half as much for looks as for not being a mopey emo sadsack. Who would have predicted they would insist on making a third FF XIII? There is all my awesome and totally worthwhile commentary. But hey, there seems to be a town to roam, so that's cool. Slightly less cool if we never leave the town but we'll see what they do with it. Now, this better not be a trolling action on square's part. "five minutes with main character, then 50 hours with characters nobody care about!". I doubt they'ed do that again, but they can make a game look like it's about anything with clever trailer work.
 
as much as ppl [now] hate lightning and the ff13 series, I'm still gonna play it ... I think it looks good :D
 
Shock and surprise, I'm really looking forward to this. I liked XIII except for the combat mechanics, I thoroughly enjoyed watching a playthrough of XIII-2 (became a bit of a Caius fanboy, too), so this was logically on my to-buy list with the announcement of new gameplay.

I still miss ATB, and I understand that a lot of people don't like where Squenix is taking the franchise, but I'm enjoying things so far (except for XII... I found it unplayable after too much time sunk), and I'm still awaiting vXIII.
 
I only played the first one. I hated the combat mechanics, they put me to sleep half the time and frustrated me into a stress-induced coma the other half of the time. But I really loved the characters. Not so much the story, but the characters. It was almost enough to validate playing all the way through it. I never tried 2, though I own it. :/ I'll get there eventually.
 
Do you mean Versus 13 or something like Dissidia?

Either way they either did or they're having new thoughts on how to market Versus 13 lol

You COULD always do that, but the end of 13-2 literally left with a "To be continued" moment for this game lol.
Not to mention 13-2 was better than 13, so if you played 13, just do 13-2. The Story DLC is also non-important.
 
u shud play 13-II cuz that dude has a sword that looks like soul edge (but its purple... -_-)

This game looks promising so far. hopefully it'll have something like gran pulse from the first game. And actual human teammates, and not some pokemon shit.

It's been mentioned enough times already that YOU ONLY GET LIGHTNING PLAYABLE IN THIS GAME.
 
I like 13 and 13-2 and all but squeenix let me ask you this: WHERE THE FUCK IS 13 VERSUS? YOU KNOW? THAT GAME YOU'VE BEEN WORKING ON SINCE BEFORE THE PS3 EVEN LAUNCHED?
