Marvel vs Capcom 2

You're so dragging that out of context.

I know it's a late response, but whatever, I'm bored and jobless: No, I'm not taking it out of context, and it's entirely relevant to your question. If you can't (Or don't want to) learn SF4 even at a middling level, then I can guaran-fucking-tee that MvC2 would be a complete and utter waste of time and money for you.

Probably old; however, apparently theres a "Retail Version" as well. :D

It doesn't have a disc; however, it has a nice box art, redeption code for MvC2 via PSN, and a free 1 month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics. :D For those that like to actually have a soild form of purchase (Like myself :p) this would be for you. :D Very rare to find thou. My gamestop got only 2 in for there store. Now there down to one. XD

^^^ wish i had known...would of gotten that.

dus anyone kno wen the Playstation store will be updated, or do they do it @ random timez?

You had to download the newer Demo first thou; however, i agree. Its total BS ! >:( It really make you feel like your paying for nothing. >_< At least its not like Megaman 9. First, it doesn't feel as pathetic (MM9 was way smaller than the MvC2 demo. :p). Plus look at the bright side, at least you dont have to buy multiple keys in order to get the other modes. ^_^

lolz

Ahhhh Marvel...once I learned just how low tier, low tier would be; our love affair was over.
Still play that scrubby Iron Man, Cable,Hayato/Jill team.

Still trying to find a good team to use with Hayato. :p For now, I'm using Gambit, Wolverine (Bone Claws), and Hayato. :)

im so sick of asisst juggernaut spammers...any help on how to deal with people who sit back and spam projectiles and juggernauts full screen punch?

I just played the game for the first time in my life. HOLY fuck is it fun. Was worried it woudl feel like SF and I'd regret it all over again. I actually think i'm kinda decent, especially for a person playing less than a day and notoriously sucking at 2D fighters. I beat most people online today.

My Team: Cyke - A/Cable - B/Iron Man - A

I use Cyke to build meter by playing keep away with j.HK and s.HP. I pretty much use him as the main fighter/chipper. I use Cable's anti air assit since I jump a lot with Cyke and with Iron Man I spam smart bombs while flying making it hard for the enemy to guess when I toss out an assist, much less guess which one i did. Cable is my secondary fighter and I stay in the corner and use my two projectile assists to hold pressure as I jump in and out. My whole goal is staying back and chipping while I build up and can use the supers for even further chipping.

Is this a good team/strategy? I want advice from people who have played this game and can probably see the obvious flaws. I don't even know the games combos yet. I just use short links and 2 and 1s. I haven't adapted air juggles yet beyond a single hit or two.

Fuck this game is fun tho. Lil worried once I play a good player who knows all the broken stuff I hear about.

I would put order to IM/Cable/Cyke but its definatley a solid team.

Lol finally got to see high level or "broken" MvC2. Played a MSP...it was bad lol. I'm not gonna let it put me off as most my games seem to be my level and i can learn this way. But in terms of all these infinites, are there counter strategies/escapes or are just some teams unstoppable? Are there banning at tournaments over some stuff? For now I just avoid the players able to do this and have my projectile spamming fests with average players. It'll be awhile before I shed my curly mustaché.

The online seems very good. I have yet to suffer any lag.

lol. Not sure what to make of MvC2 in terms of how competitive I want to get into it. Is it basically who ever pulls the big combo first wins or are the set ups hard to achieve and can be fought around? Once again I'm gonna avoid these people simply because I need to get better and losing a battle full of smaller combos feels more educational. I don't want to call cheap on a game I just picked up and since there's so much "brokeness" implied, maybe it all balances out in perspective of how many different teams/characters can do something like that? Or maybe the infinites and broken combos are generally hard enough to time that they wont be consistent?

Is their a forum for this? SRK has barely anything and I'm dieing to look at combo lists and other stuff.

The only things that are typically banned from tournies are dead body infinites if they're used to run the time down (It's fine if used for positioning), game-breaking glitches, and the "Switch Glitch" which changes your starting character. Everything else you have to take like a man.
