Here is an assortment of my recreated characters. Many of these are from obscure games, so I would be surprised if anyone recognized all of the characters. Enjoy.

The leader of the Third Street Saints (Saints Row 3)

The Saints Row series has a rather in-depth customization feature, so technically anything could have worked here. For this CaS I tried to make a character that would fit the aesthetics of SR3 and gave her an approximation of the iconic penetrator weapon.

And for fun I tried to make human versions of the cast of Friendship is Magic

And finally here are my renditions of the the characters that were absent from SC5's roster. Rather than trying to recreate outfits from previous games, I tried to come up with new outfits that seemed appropriate for older versions of the characters.

Cassandra:
For this I tried to make her look more modest and mature while retaining her hatred of pants. I think it came out nicely.

Talim:
I don't have a clear idea of what an older Talim should look like. This is what I came up with after several iterations, and I'm not entirely satisfied with it.

Setsuka:
This one is very simple, but I like it. I think it is rather fitting for the current mellowed out Setsuka.

Seong Mi-na:
For some reason, this feels like it should be a player two outfit instead of a main.

Revenant:

Arthur and Li Long:
I had fun with these two. By now they should have gotten tired of getting their butts kicked before every game, so so I made them retired men reliving their glory days on the kabuki stage. It was a fun change to go completely overboard with deliberately tacky patterns everywhere.

I like how this one came together. The offhand bow looks great in combat.

Shura:
I've seen several Shuras that look very similar to this one. I guess that is what happens when the only thing that people remember about her are the blue chaps, thong, and skull pauldron.

Indeed. I just checked your thread, and our designs are almost identical. I've seen the same thing with other renditions of Geralt and Nier. There aren't a lot of different parts that fit these characters, so the only variation between most of the renditions are the accessories and stickers.

I'm glad you guys liked my Keats. I opted for Devil Jin's style partly because Keats with a sword looked off, and mostly because I don't enjoy playing as Z.W.E.I.

As a huge fan, I have to put my 2 cents in for him though: His pants and vest should be black rather than brown, coat more blue (I know there's no reference anywhere on the internet with his coat looking blue, but dammit it's really BLUE in the game itself), and vest cropped a bit higher, his is really short.

Now I'm thinking of going and making Ascended Keats... Why I haven't done this yet is beyond me.

Thanks for pointing this out (and for giving me a reason to fire up Folklore again). The concept art that I used as a reference was much lighter than the actual game. I'll have to tweak and reupload my Keats. Also, I would love to see you make an ascended Keats.

I know I am proving myself a complete hypocrite for saying this but how did you modify the eyepatch for Nier? What can I say it has a special place in my heart for having a heroine who would threaten to rip out monsters eyeballs and piss in the sockets. That and the soundtrack is godliek.

I'm glad you enjoyed Nier as much as I did, and both the OST and 15 Nightmares soundtracks are amazing. To recreate his eye patch, I gave him the standard one and placed a triangle and two lightning bolt stickers on his face. This works rather well, but it only leaves one sticker for his back tattoo.


I just wish this game had more options for asymmetric clothing so that we could make a decent Kaine.

Updated with Ellen in the Cloak of Twilight (it was the only cloak that I could figure out how to replicate), Richard, Sophie, and my rendition of the main character from Saints Row the Third.

Your Witcher and Folklore CaSs are quite nice. I especially like the use of bat wings as Ellen's faulds.

Keroro and Saints Leader are funny. Good job on Keroro's head (it's derpy looking, but that only adds to the comic value) and the Penetrator.

I'm usually not a fan of pony-related stuff, but I do enjoy seeing how you transformed the cast into human characters. Gotta give credit where credit is due, what can I say.

Ellen looks fantastic! I tried making her after making my own Keats a while back, but gave up. Also attempted Twilight but couldn't get the bat wings looking half as good as you did. Viola's hood is a nice part to use too, and her fiery boots look great!

I'm glad you like her. Battles between Ellen and Keats are a lot of fun. If you would like to make your own Cloak of Twilight, the wing positions are as follows:

Also be sure to apply the stickers to her legs before adding the wings; I learned this one the hard way. The only other tricks I used were stickers over European pattern 8 for the details on her bikini and basic pattern 4 to turn the thick stripe around the hood into a thin one. I hope you guys enjoy this, and keep spreading your love of Folklore through the SC community.

Thanks. I enjoyed making these costumes a lot more than I expected to. Dressing the SC cast in outfits representing characters that spend most of their time naked was an interesting little challenge. It helped that five of the six SC girls fit the personalities of the respective MLP character well. The only one that doesn't really fit is Leixa as the bookwormish Twilight. Unfortunately the only other option was to dress Ivy as Twilight, and my earlier attempt to do so was frankly horrifying.
