Move Spamming?

Sometimes I find I can be my own worst enemy. After playing against someone who mixes it up, you've been predictively blocking everything the guy has tried and won...then you play against a nub who nails you with the same low attack 3 times in a row. Why? Because i'm trying to predict and block this guys mix-up but it never comes, sometimes you just need to distance yourself as good players can just use mind tricks to get away this this kind of thing as well.

My pet hate is players who run at you with every knockdown then mid/low attack/grab, honestly its like the modern day equivilent of rock/scissors/paper:

- Crouch beats grab
- Mid beats crouch (Cerv i'm looking at you...)
- Low guard beats high attack

I find it funny how people write essay-long comments to my post, yet apparently don't having understood them at all. I don't defend the player that lets himself get spammed - he is obviously a bad player and always should blame himself first.
You cannot spam a good player. You can only spam bad players. <-- This is my point, i hope you all get it now.

Now with this in mind, it is my opinion that spamming is cheap because you can only use it to oppress bad players, its not something that will help you in a hard match against an equally skilled opponent. In that context, spamming is cheap.

Btw i play siegfried, that guy's gameplay pretty much evolves around not getting spammed, yet due to his range he can be a decent spammer himself, so i know what i am talking about. If i get spammed i always blame myself not my opponent.

Even a bad player should notice that the guy is using the same move over and over again. What pisses me off even more is when people get all angry that I am using a combo more than once. Not even 1 move, a combo.
Also, landing a move more than three times is not spamming. using the same move 40 times in a round is spamming.

With me maining Pyrrha Omega... I've been asked to 'learn more combos' and 'stop spamming same moves...' etc after winning matches online.

...can't really help it if Pyrrha Omega only has 5 decent moves... >_<

If I could even spam those five moves effectively I would, just to stick it to them... but alas, all i did was constant block then NS B:4 punishers... and 22_88 B headstabs after baiting linear verts. SPAAAAMzzz!

Neways, spam is nice, esp with scrambled eggs & fried rice with banana ketchup on the side... ^_~

Just because someone doesn't like people doing 3B constantly with reckless abandon doesn't mean they are bitching or bad. It just means that shit is boring to them so GTFO so they can find someone who can use different moves and have a chance at beating them. Stop labeling shit at the drop of a hat every time people. I trash a true spammer and boot them. Punishing and smart safe play is not spam. Holding a direction and pressing one button is.

Not everyone knows the difference so you have to bare with the ignorance.

So you are just going to trash them and kick them for being bad, which once again they won't learn anything.

If they sit in lobby and see how good players play and see that their tactics weren't working then maybe they'll change up what they do, and pick up some useful skills.

Kicking bad players who you can beat in less than 1 minute for all 3 rounds isn't doing them any favors.

...well, if ever I make a room. Peeps are welcome to spam if they want to try & I won't boot. Just don't expect it to work... unless I'm half asleep... >_< which I normally am playing @ 02.00 in the morning hehe!

I'm also obliged to try and spam back for kicks too! ^__^ love spams!

Just note... the 'official guideline for spamming' would be to kill the person with the SAME move throughout the duration of the session. Using any other move beside the 'spam move' would reset the round... thus labeling the person in question... *gasp* non-spammer dude... *booo000h* =P

Peeps get a free spam & egg sandwich sent via post should they ever 3B me to death... ^_~

They can message me of their own volition asking why they were booted and I will give a full explanation for why they were booted and ask if they want help. I'm not gonna sit there and repeatedly pound them into the ground because that's boring.

I don't 3B them to death either. I use my TC moves or jump over obvious slow ass lows which will show them different ways to escape certain situations.

People I face with some semblance of understanding I will just give advice after they lose. Like "Dude you almost had me because I don't have much Mitsurugi match up experience. If you would have kept the pressure on I wouldn't have had time to adapt to both you and him."

People wonder why others think SC is a spammy game smh.

lol! nahh.. I prefer the passive way; spam them back in the lamest way possible... that way, I get to have my fun too!

They at least start playing normally, or ragequit... ^___^

EDIT:

tbh, booting's sort of a thing of the past now with SC5 anyways... ever since the dawn of the 'global colleseo' ..all that's prevalent now are 'ragequits' ... =_=

If I play someone I can beat 3 times in less than 2 minutes I will always teabag, taunt, overkill then kick them. It makes me feel good about my life.

Well I primarily play friends with one Open slot for random people in my own room. So if you bore me good bye.

People aren't there for your entertainment, maybe next time you open a room, you make everyone read a detailed rule list in advance and agree on your made up rules.

hmmm.. I'm inclined to somewhat concede to Reave's point regarding his room. Since its the host's prerogative as to what goes on in 'his/her' room in any case.

But, like I said... with the introduction of the 'Global Colleseo' thingie... there should be less random users traffic invading playermatch rooms nowadays.

Plenty of fun to be had with random peeps in the Global Colleseo lobbies... ^_^

...now if only they introduced voicechat in the public area of the lobby, instead of it being restricted only within games... =/

Or perhaps they can increase the character limit on the text chat... damn annoying to be typing a sentence.. only to see half of it disappear when you press enter... =_=

I didn't know there was an official guideline for spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spammity spaaaaaaaaaam!
Well tell that to the people saying I'm a spammer for using Hilde's combos. After a while, even if you land 2 combos at different times, people will still call you a spammer. It honestly does not matter anymore because people will always try to find some excuse to label your win as a cheap win.
Oh your main strategy revolves around using Hilde's 88/22 B? SPAMMER!
Oh you use Raphael's main combo a lot? SPAMMER!
Oh you grabbed 3 times in a row? SPAMMER!
Oh you blocked all my attacks? BLOCK SPAMMER!
Oh you Just Guarded my attacks? JUST GUARD SPAMMER!

Oops, I may have spammed Oh too much.
