P90X results: This stuff really works

Shogun, have you tried insanity yet?

For the next month I'm gonna do only insanity plus some other workout. I plan on working out twice a day for a total of 90min a day. I want to lose about 10-15lbs of fat, I wonder if it's possible. I was the one who encouraged people not to lose weight fast, now I'm doing the exact same thing xD June 15 is my deadline.

Hopefully next month I will be able to update this with something that at least resembles abs =s

I still haven't tried it yet but I really need to as I've been running through the cardio for p90x. Plyometrics still sorta gives me a challenege but I can get through i all without breaks or anything. I'll try it out when I get the chance. '

I just started my fourth session of p90x today. I did a double today with cardio x/ chest and back and it kicked my ass with my single leg push-ups through the whole thing. My chest feels great though when I complete though. Some glorious stuff this program is....
 
Shogun, I never asked but what's your ideal goal?

To look like that......minus the cast on the leg. DWayne Johnson's build as been my ideal build for awhile, and I'm about 70% there. So eventually I want to look like this when I take my shirt off....

Isn't the The Rock, like, huge though? I mean guy played college football and almost went pro. How tall are you, dude?
 
Currently The Rock is 6'4 and 235, I am 6'3 and 235 (I checked two days ago) so I have to lose about 15-18 more fat pounds and build 5 or so more pounds of muscle to get to that size. I believe in the pictures he's about 230 or so, so i'm pretty close, just not there yet.

So you be feeling yourself after a work out, huh? Staring at your results... It's a common thing. Ain't no shame in that whatsoever. I know I would. Good ish, man.

How "fast" did you lose the weight? You were how heavy when you started and what are you now?
 
Arrogant, so far I lost about 130 pounds. I still want to lose some more.
Ring!! Im planning on starting Insanity on the 1st of June! I plan on working for only 60 mins though and I'm not yet sure how successful it will be considering my goals are to gain muscle mass and shed a little fat. I loved the intensity of it though and the fact that its like accepting a challenge and pushing my physique to the limit.
You will definitely lose fat, not sure about muscle though. Insanity is mostly cardio so I wouldn't expect much muscle gains. P90x is better at this, but insanity is def better when it comes to fat loss imo ;)

I think Insanity is at least twice as intense as P90X's Plyometrics. I have a lot of trouble with the longer versions of the workouts for month 2. They are too much for my legs, you really need to be super fit to complete them like they do in a video. I can't do that without modifying some exercises.
 
I guess I did! But really, it wasn't that hard. At the beginning fat comes off quickly, but it can get difficult at the end when you want to see some definition in your abdominal area.

On topic: The easiest way to stay dedicated to working out, if you don't have the determination of Shogun, is to workout with someone who is dedicated or to find something you enjoy doing. I was pretty amazed by how good of shape I'm considered to be in, but I attributed it all to simply riding my bike everywhere and having a decently 'active' lifestyle.
 
I have no room for p90x so I'm thinking of taking up Muay Thai to get in shape but money is tight...

true story:

i was a fat little kid. when i was like 7 or 8 years old i cornered this girl at recess and started yelling "white trash" over and over and throwing wadded up paper at her. she cried to the teacher. i had to take a note explaining my behavior home and have my parents sign it and return it to my teacher. naturally, i gave it to my older sister to forge, as i always did. after she read it, i asked her what "prejudiced" meant. i honestly had no clue. she explained to me that it was when a guy was fat and had chick boobs.

for tow or three YEARS after that i called fat people prejudiced because i thought that was what it meant. this led to many many mistakes in interpretation of TV shows, history lessons, etc.

no wonder i'm such a confused adult.

Are you talking about Cardio Kick boxing?? Cause strictly Muay Thai wont get you results half as fast P90X or Insanity. Its not meant to be a weight lose activity.

And ya Ring thats what I figured. Im kinda scared to try it for that reason. My metabolism is already pretty fast and I have pretty low body fat so I think it will have the opposite effect of what I want. If I dont the feel results soon into it ill just go back to normal lifting I guess :$

Well I don't need to get into P90x shape, I just want to get fit and I do enjoy martial arts so I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I guess its a good idea then :). I love it. I have done Martial arts all my life, Muay Thai for the last like 6-7 years, and If you dont mind getting beat up ( You learn to like it no joke) you'll love it too. Its IMO the most effective fighting style there is, and its a hell of a workout.
 
I'd suggest you to either get really ripped now with Insanity and then clean bulk or do heavy lifting now and eat a lot to gain mass (with fat in the process) and then cut, preferably with Insanity. It's really difficult to gain muscle and stay at low body fat at the same time, in fact only few people can do it w/o steroids. It can take ages and be discouraging.

Damn, I look forward to incoperating that into my cardio days then, maybe mix them up depending on how I feel. I dunno if I could do hell month with insanity, tbat would mean cardio x on top of insanity's crazy routines. That would be a handful!
