Patroklos Pre-Release Discussion

I would find it rather amusing for Patroklos to appear in the game as homosexual, especially if he uses the exact same fighting style as his mother as that second tweet suggested (even if it isn't as feminine-looking as Cassandra's).

I don't think the world is ready for a gay main character.

His moves aren't going to be Sophie's, but "inspired" by hers. He will not have a girly BB, 6K, BT B+K etc. A lot of Sophie's moves are pretty unisex imo.
 
I just realized that if Pat is gay, then my history of character usage will mean people called Hwang gay, and also Pat gay. lol....
 
Patroclus won't be gay in the game. As Signia said, the world isn't ready for a gay main character and unfortunately never will. But that aside, I have a feeling that his fighting style may be quite vicious in nature.
 
Finally!!! I ALWAYS wanted to make an MALE shield and sword ala Cass/Soph user in SCIV... But it hasn't worked without making him look... you know...

I think, he will be main for sure

It could work if Patroklos is slightly feminine as well as arrogant. It actually adds to his appeal as it would make him different, plus the character can be used against homophobic players :)
 
Not sure if anyone's noticed this, but in the official SCV trailer Patroklos is possessed by Soul Edge. Is it possible that he's the new host? Or maybe there is no 'host' to begin with, and the story can go in several ways as the game goes on...
 
I didn't notice anything like that actually. I just assumed he was attack Soul Edge. How did you come about this conclusion?

In the official teaser trailer, 0:55 - 1:00. Patrokles is holding the sword (swings it round) and looks weird in the eyes like he is possessed. It's definitely him because he has the weird cat-thing on his shoulders.
 
Hmm, I can't see his sister pulling it off, but I could see him using Abelia/S&S 66k (which I want to return because it was awesome). He seems to have a decent number of punching moves already.
