Philly/South Jersey Soul Calibur - Live Stream

I actually thought it was a joke, some Christian Bale remake or something.

What don't you fucking understand...?
I'm sorry shawn.
You got any idea about...Hey, it's fucking distracting, having someone talking behind Khent in the middle of fucking a match?
Give me a fucking answer.

Seriously why would you annoy someone using mina vs amy, you just asking for rage. I don't pretty much care good stuff Khent keep it coming.

No Drama from me.

The games where good. Continue to do what you guys do in Philly. Continue the Khent Stream (philly stream).

Recording of the later part of the session. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/5775575.

Khent Personaly I think the stream can support Higher Quality and still be smooth. Maybe experiment a little if its possible. The reason I say this, I was watching a SF4 stream yesterda and it was beutiful and fast and it was in ustream. So just a thought. If Im being stupid just let me know at next session.

You're not being stupid at all. When I had it set at %100, I was happy with the quality but didn't like the fact that it had choppiness. I am thankful that someone opened my eyes to just lowering the video quality straight from the dashboard. Therefore, we can run the stream at a visual that is still acceptable to our audience and have minimal (if unoticable) frame skips.

Like I said before, I am always open to suggestions for improvement, so I will do some more self experimentation on finding the perfect balance between quality and smoothness. Hubbs uses a capture card to directly stream in which the quality is immaculate, but there is no audio unless I purchase a seperate mic. I'm also not sure if my laptop will be able to handle it, so I'll see what can be done.

I'd like to personally thank everyone for their continued support of the stream. We will see you guys next thursday.

Yes, don't get rid of the audio, it's my favourite part! ^-^
Good jerb to you guys. lol

As usual, we will be streaming live starting around 8PM tomorrow night. This time around, I am not sure if Street Fighter IV will be played at first. That's up to those in charge.

As for Saturday, I'll will check and see if it's possible for me to set up a stream for the NYC tournament. If not, we will stream from the after-party in my hotel room later in the evening. Hopefully we can do both.

Also, from now on - all sessions will be recorded and archived in their entirety. See you guys tomorrow night.

Stream is live right now. We'll be shutting off at 2AM EST.

Players: Bibulus, ZeroEffect317, 350z, Sporko, Woahhzz, Mendus (new players, Hubbs' brother), and myself.

Next Thursday. We'd normally be running one tonight, but there is a tournament in NY today. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it.

Damnit I missed it, need stream announcments on the front page some where.

All you have to do is check this thread on Thursdays and Saturdays and you are good.

But yoooo, we are now getting started with the Ranking Battle. I'm still working out the format, but it's on starting Thursday. Plus it will give people watching the stream more reason to watch. Get hype!!!!

A ranking battle is a battle for ranking where depending on where you place in the tournament you get a point total awarded, i.e. 10 points for 1st place, 8 points for 2nd place, 7 points for 3rd, etc. Since this would occur weekly, I’m thinking we would go for 10 weeks to make up a season, and at the end of the season, the point totals would be added and a winner would be crowned.

This would only be for bragging rights and maybe to generate rivalries, smack talk, fist fights, and to promote better competitive play. Plus it will also give people who watch the stream something more than just casual matches since there would be an actual goal we are playing for.

Right now, all we need to do is work out the format. Character lock would be in place to get rid of counter picking. If there are less than 8 people that want to participate, it would be in a round robin format. If there is 8-12 people, then either double elimination bracket using standard rules or a single elimination bracket with 3/5 sets.

I don’t really have a preference, but since everything else is double elimination, we might as well use double elimination. If anyone else has any thoughts, let’s hear it.

I looked up Hong Kong's system and it really wasn't a ranking battle. Rather, it was a challenge system that LAU invented where players had to issue challenges to one another and the results would either affect their level or not. So it isn't what I thought it was.

I suppose since we have tournaments running monthly around here, it's better to stick to bracket play.

Goddammit, I'm gonna be stealing everything from you Philly boys. Lol!
