Hey there guys. Well, I decided to open up another poll on another Soul Calibur character and this time, it's all about Siegfried.

Yep, on this poll is about our large blade wielding hero Siegfried. Which version of him did you like best?
 
Honestly, I liked most of his incarnations. And he kept his cool factor (despite a lot of his quotes in SCV lol) in check too.

Appearance wise: I was really fond of his SCI look. Simple but stylistic knight design. Especially his 2p which is forever my favorite look of his lol But I also am tied in with his SCIII look. His outfits were divine in that game and his hair was rendered so beautifully. His whole ice paladin armor was alright but a little too tacky for my taste but his paladin armor looked nice. And in SCV, his armor design is cool. Simple but effective. Even his alt player outfit wasn't too bad. But yeah, it's a tie in for SCI & III for me.

Moveset wise/Gameplay: Mmm I honestly had a lot of fun playing him in 3-4. He's also fun in 5 but I liked messing with his arsenal of moves in 4. Needless to say, I never used him a whole lot but when I did use him, he was fairly addicting to play as.

Personality: I like how he has a noble heart and tried to justify his wrong-doings. I was joyed to see him featured in Hilde's ending in SCIV where she pretty much says he has been forgiven for his sins. That sorrowful relieved smile was so heart warming. So yeah, I do like his personality.

And well, that's pretty much opinion. I give it to SCI & III. = )
 
I like Siegfried in all the games I have played (he is my main for a reason lol). Soul Calibur 3 Siegfried is definitely my favourite however, got to love that Crispin Freeman voice acting. Also I really liked his theme and stage in 3, both his outfits and his movelist was really enjoyable.

Yeah, I'll give Crispin Freeman the benefit of the doubr. I forgot that in SCI, Siegfried had the voice actor who did Link from The Legend of Zelda lol Cute but didn't fit him even if I do like his looks the best in that game lol So they picked the right voice actor for him in SCIII. :)

Aw but that's have the fun of playing as Siegfried. Keep your opponent guessing lol And I like Hwoarang of Tekken too haha

SCV 'Fried shits all over the lessors. Was never a fan of III-IV and I don't usually like protagonists, I got annoyed with him quick.

I will NEVER like any other design then this one. I miss it when he was like this. He was so badass and so much more interesting then he was after him and Nightmare seperated.

SB: Just his attitude, BBB and super jumps make you wanna kill love him

SC: Well he is Sieg... moving on

SC2: Best NM ever. The voice acting+his appearance made him awesome to me. Also I believe he must have been very strong, but I havent really searched that

SC3: Very handsome, cool moves, suitable voice acting... Technically I started using him since this game

SC4: Even though he was like an emo, I liked him too, specially because of his moves

SC5: He's possibly my top favourite. I like the fact that he is back to his old self and attitude, he is nice and the voice acting suits him well (I wonder why Crispin Freeman gets so much love when Roger Craig Smith does a badass work here too). And as for his moves, it's been said here he's just 3B/WRB, well no he isnt, he has other useful moves too, like iagA, 66K (BE), name others, and an aGI others should watch out. Yes his stances have been nerfed, in overall you could say, since two of them have many flaws, but the rest two have strong stuff, like SCB/SCH KBE and SBH's aGI which leads to damaging combos. Also he isn't uninteresting since even a blocked 3(B) could lead to 50/50 situations (against most chars), in which you and your opponent should stay alert. I believe he is quite stronger/better than before...

Yeah, I liked that version of him too but I considered that form more on Nightmare's side since he technically had more evil quotes and whatnot. So that's why I didn't include him here but you are right, his aesthetic was pretty awesome.

Game-play: SCV Siegfried is my favorite since I more or less understand him this time around.

Personality: I haven't decided.

Looks: SCV. I think he looks pretty good in this game. Especially with short hair. <3...............lol He's a DILF(or FILF)
 
There's a few stance moves that I miss from 3/4, but other than that I'd say I prefer his SC5 move set.

SCH KBe, SBH KBe, and 66KBe are moves that I have come to love far more than any missing moves from prior games.

As far as him not having a stance game anymore, I agree that it's not what it used to be, although I don't think it's nonexistent either.

Nothing is more satisfying than hitting 4B+K to step just barely outside of the opponent's range, causing them to whiff, and then following with BBB. Not the most useful move he has, but it sure does make you feel like a badass when you land it! Although I have to say it might not be worth it because I seem to get interrupted more than I actually land it, or I misjudge the spacing and I end up getting hit anyways.

I really wish 4B+K took a longer step backward.
 
Haha if they ever bring this outfit back for CAS, I'd so deck Siegfried out in it. I just know it would look nice with his more mature look. :)

Looks: SC 2 nightmare 2p just looks so good but both of his SC 3 costumes look stunning and suit him perfectly ahh i'm tied on this one.

Game play wise though gotta be SC 2 I LOVED Nightmare in this game, the way he exicutes his moves just look so badass (Like his BB for example simple but suits him so well) also looking back i love the mixture of Sieg's and Nightmares move set very fun to play with.
 
I picked everything except the last choice. Nobody can be prettier than Siegfried, even if he's old now. That taunt begs to differ.

I didn't use him a lot in 2 but I think I'll pick him up and use him a bit when I go back to replaying SC2 for awhile. :)
