I used to have a protocol for this in SCIV, when you could see their record before character select. I'd agree to the match, then get my mic ready. I'd send them a message that just said "have you heard?" (If they replied, I would usually say something like "But I was under the impression that everyone had heard?") I'd pick a custom character with a bird mask, appropriately named "The Word." Then once it showed the characters, I'd turn on the mic and begin with the b-b-b-BIRD BIRD BIRD B-B-BIRD IS THE WORD from the beginning of the match until after I was done beating them senseless. Afterwards they'd usually send me a "LOL" or something, and I'd reply formally welcoming them to Soul Calibur.

Do you still do that? I mean, my cherry's been popped and all but I wouldn't mind having a match with you like that sometime. I love foolin' around haha.

It's a lot harder to do that now because you don't get to see their W/L record until right before the match starts. Also, I don't usually use CaS now, but when I do, I almost exclusively use Shaftfried.
