Post-GI Mixups

Belial: Nice yet again.

SU: Is that FotD damage with JF Asura? What's the damage on JF Asura alone btw?

Mikey: No mixup. Just a mistype. Corrected.

Ring: Thanks a lot for making Ivy even scarier you beast. I'm not getting CL 236BB to hit after WP 66A+B.

mikosu thanks for putting this together ;] I was going to post what Tiamat and OOF already pointed out, so I'll just say that I agree with them. Also, consider that fast move/slow move mixup means you must commit to either move immediately after your GI. On the other hand, fast move/delayed fast move allows you to punish a re-GI on reaction, meaning your slow option will always be a safe choice resulting in either you launching them on reaction after their whiffed GI, or a free setup when they just sit and block.

Mikosu:

iFotD - Into Asura JF = 80-Damage
iFotD - Into Asura = 74-Damage

Asura JF = 80-Damage
Asura = 69-Damage

For what its worth Asura JF/Asura as a Post GI option is kinda stupid. A+B, 66B, 66B is i20-Frames while
Asura is i26-Frames and they result in the same damage. Basically as a slow option A+B is still better than Asura Post GI.

So overall it would be like

Post GI: In order of priority.

A+B
4A+BBB
iFotD
A+B (Slow)

Thing about A+B combo is that it does 70 on small characters and 80 on big and average. So if you can do JF Asura consistently you have both a 70 and 80 damage for fast and slow. Man Kilik is ridiculous lol.

I thought about it and the delaying the fast move thing makes complete sense so I'll remove the less damaging slow options later. Thanks for topping it off NM killer.

Well yeah I guess that makes sense when you think about it that way. Though I think its neglible since it only apply's to Xianghua and Amy from what I can remember. Could be missing one more but not sure.

Rock- 22_88B does deal more damage, but 44[A] gives more options.

As a slow follow-up, I would also add 2B+K and WSB.

WSB does less damage, but it leaves them at feet first instead of head first. It also does not cause stun like 22_88B. Both 22_88B and WS B have the same frames on block and deal the same soul guage damage.

2B+K is just the jack of all trades. Decent on hit and block, but nothing great.

22_88B damage is 46+ followup.

44[A] deals 10 more damage when hitting at peak range.

WSB does 36+ followup (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm opposed to using fast options for both GI and reGI
If you GI and then wait for them to re-GI you will end up at a disadvantage. you'll either get your slow option blocked or interrupted.

when use fast option for both GI and reGI
- deals more damage than slow options
- is safe

post GI slow option must be
- safe
- notGI'able on reaction or cancellable/delayable.
- uninterruptible (< i29~35)
the latter might be forfeit in favor of high damage. i35 is to beat throw attempts (some people mash throws to either get escape if they get thrown or interrupt if they are not)

For Tira in Jolly a more damaging slow option would be JS 66B, A+K, UPD B (59) but it's even more unsafe than 4KB :-/

The Apprentice:

Post-GI Fast option:
3B8,AAA+B, 236B - 72 damage ~60% force

Post-GI Slow option:
22_88B,FC9K:A,2B - 72 damage

Darth Vader:

Post-GI Fast option:
Small Force use: 3B+K, 33B+K, 4B - 63 damage
Large Force use: 44B, 4A+B, 4A+B, [3]:B+K, 33B+K, 4B - 92 damage (not guaranteed on everyone, a few can block the 4A+B after 44B)

Post-GI Slow option:
Small Force use: Delayed 3B+K,33B+K,4B - 63 damage
Large Force use: 3B, 4A+B, 4A+B, [3]:B+K, 33B+K, 4B - 90 damage

Yoda:

Post-GI Fast option:
3B, 2B+K, 4B+KB - 57 damage, ~50% force

Post-GI Slow option:
236B, 2B+K, 4B+KB - 56 damage ~50% force

The SW characters (especially Vader) have a bunch more options for different amounts of damage, but it all depends on how much Force you're willing to use.

Phew thanks Oof. Saves me a lot of trouble. I tried App's 3B8 post-GI and it whiffed. Is that not happening with you?

Maxi 4[A+B], 66B+K (for 70 dmg) not good enough as slow option?

Mitsu has 3B, 236[B1], 1A (for 60) or 2KB for fast option... I prefer using 236, 1A for slow option 'cause it's safe, but I'm not mad if y'all wanna fish for the most damage.

S-U, most Vader players go for the Force Parry instead, since it has a larger GI/JI window and leads to good mixups, so you won't need to worry about his regular GI game as much. :P
