Synopsis from the Book's website:

Across America, a mysterious disease is turning ordinary people into raving, paranoid murderers who inflict brutal horrors on strangers, themselves, and even their own families.

Working under the government’s shroud of secrecy, CIA operative Dew Phillips crisscrosses the country trying in vain to capture a live victim. With only decomposing corpses for clues, CDC Epidemiologist Margaret Montoya races to analyze the science behind this deadly contagion. She discovers that these killers all have one thing in common — they've been contaminated by a bio-engineered parasite, shaped with a complexity far beyond the limits of known science.

Meanwhile Perry Dawsey — a hulking former football star now resigned to life as a cubicle-bound desk jockey — awakes one morning to find several mysterious welts growing on his body. Soon Perry finds himself acting and thinking strangely, hearing voices—he is infected.

The fate of the human race may well depend on the bloody war Perry must now wage with his own body, because the parasites want something from him, something that goes beyond mere murder.

Is it raining there? Anyway, Great movie! I love Pink Floyd, and if you are a Floyd fan this is a must own. I probably watch it once every 2 or 3 months.
It's really more of a big music video, giving you visuals to help link the album's songs. The Trial is my favorite scene in the whole movie. The animation is fantastic, and the song is great. I think someone did a YouTube video on it using Batman characters (with Batman on trial, obviously).

Well, I really don't cook many dishes from the asian persuasion. Maybe someday I will get into it, but I mainly direct my culinary focus to french/american fusion, italian, and southern/mexican dishes.

as for what you should have for dinner... i'm still upset with that dumbass comment. kimchi jon.... man......... get your girl to make you some real korean dishes. that's like eating potato chips or french fries for dinner. kimchi jon... that's anju. straight up. real talk. seriously. for real. i am serious. who the hell put that in your head? i understand if you like the dish. but damn. that's not no fuckin dinner. "drinking" food. eat that with soju or other liquors. that ain't no dinner.

get some real food in you.

chipotle peppered steak with onions, green peppers and mushrooms. served as a side with some "chinese" style fried rice, with some kim chi, canned corn mixed with peas with a dash of adobo, and mashed sweet potatoes mixed with thyme leaves leave the skin on with some brown gravy. with a fresh iced glass (those plastic glasses with water inside and you store in the freezer. FUCKING WIN!) of water on the side as a beverage.

now that... that's a dinner.

Was thinking about creationism and evolution at lunch, here is what I pondered:

Evolution: We consider ourselves to be the top of the evolutionary design... our species has lived quite a long time. We are much more sophisticated than the rest of the animal kingdom. We use technology and have a social structure that allows us to learn and think up new concepts that keep us above the other species that inhabit this panet. But, we still die. Generation after generation...failed evolutionary 'experiments?' Is it the pinnicle of evolution to acheive a state in which 1 specific entity lives on indefinitely, or just to propagate and support a single species indefinitely?

Creationism (specifically christianity): Is the sole purpose for our exsitance to thank the creator or God for what He made? He made humans so that we would gather other humans for his following, and we are to thank and praise Him for what he has given us... says the Bible. But if God made all this, why would he need us to satisfy his ego?

I need to quit smokin over lunch.

the latter is easier than the first, as anyone with an ego can tell you. it's no fun at all when you acknowledge your greatness. but when other people say, wow. you're awesome... much more satisfaction to be had.... i'm goin to hell for that.

I stopped thinking about that stuff when I found out how few people can have an intelligent discussion about it. It usually degenerates into Atheists bashing God and Christians trying to get them to "see the light." Topics like that just don't interest me. I'll believe what I want, and you believe in what you want. If you provoke my beliefs, I'll simply refuse to respond. People are out for the sole purpose of stirring things up for their own amusement, and I don't find it funny or interesting.

Now food, on the other hand, is always interesting. I'm down for a couple soft-shell tacos. Maybe even some nachos and cheese. Nah, I'll grab me some instant noodles. :p
