You've been reading other peoples' posts, haven't you? That counts as reading.I haven't read in a long time.
Off to watch Pink Floyd's "The Wall." I need something trippy on a day like this.
It's really more of a big music video, giving you visuals to help link the album's songs. The Trial is my favorite scene in the whole movie. The animation is fantastic, and the song is great. I think someone did a YouTube video on it using Batman characters (with Batman on trial, obviously). Is it raining there? Anyway, Great movie! I love Pink Floyd, and if you are a Floyd fan this is a must own. I probably watch it once every 2 or 3 months.
What should I make for dinner tonight? I really have no clue today, which is weird...
Was thinking about creationism and evolution at lunch, here is what I pondered:
Evolution: We consider ourselves to be the top of the evolutionary design... our species has lived quite a long time. We are much more sophisticated than the rest of the animal kingdom. We use technology and have a social structure that allows us to learn and think up new concepts that keep us above the other species that inhabit this panet. But, we still die. Generation after generation...failed evolutionary 'experiments?' Is it the pinnicle of evolution to acheive a state in which 1 specific entity lives on indefinitely, or just to propagate and support a single species indefinitely?
Creationism (specifically christianity): Is the sole purpose for our exsitance to thank the creator or God for what He made? He made humans so that we would gather other humans for his following, and we are to thank and praise Him for what he has given us... says the Bible. But if God made all this, why would he need us to satisfy his ego?
I need to quit smokin over lunch.
I stopped thinking about that stuff when I found out how few people can have an intelligent discussion about it. It usually degenerates into Atheists bashing God and Christians trying to get them to "see the light." Topics like that just don't interest me. I'll believe what I want, and you believe in what you want. If you provoke my beliefs, I'll simply refuse to respond. People are out for the sole purpose of stirring things up for their own amusement, and I don't find it funny or interesting. Was thinking about creationism and evolution at lunch, here is what I pondered:
