So from release to say 6 months down the line how many events roughly are there likely to be?

Also, how often do the French guys have tournaments?

Cant make Cannes but with decent advance warning happy to travel.

Hmm... The next confirmed event is on the 16th of March, then EBO/SVB in the summer. There will also be monthly meets if the interest holds up (speak to Age_of_Truth.)

The French have monthly gnouz corp meets I believe.

Neo Empire have announced Ultimate Clash at the Anime Con at the Rocket Complex (as you've probably seen) but on the website, the schedule also includes a Soul Calibre [sic] tournament on the Saturday (11th). So this will probably be the first meet up after the release event.

Namco are looking to support our community this time with prizes and publicity. But even if that doesn't work out, we will still organise Gamerbase events and even local sessions where it's possible.

Keep checking Neo cos it's tough to reach UK players on here.

Cheers - I'm on Neo often enough, so will see any new stuff. There has been no mention though about the Anime Con having SCV from what I have read though?

I'm at the all nighter (not all night though) at Fire-bugs on the 3rd Feb. I will be at the launch event the next day, but the Anime Con I can't make :-( - old mate from school who is not into this stuff staying for the weekend. I'll get to the UK champs in March and I want to travel to the Gnouz events regularly too in addition to what's going on in the UK - if you have 2-3 weeks notice Eurostar is not expensive and I think playing the French players regularly enough will help level me up in addition to the guys in the UK. Obviously won't be able to make everything, but I want to make the most of this while I can. Gamerbase sessions will also be good. Canne I can't make either - family members and operations come before games!

You start going to the Gnouz events, you're gonna be one of the top UK players in no time. I'll see if I can join you for some cos they are fun, though the Eurostar always cost a bomb whenever I checked it.

As for the anime thing, I'll try to post something up on Neo and here once I know a bit more about what will happen. Namco have kept this anime con thing very quiet so far, and as it costs loads to even enter the venue, we might sort out a Gamerbase event instead. Namco will hopefully help us out with prizes etc. either way.

My intention is for this to be my main game and I want to travel for it as much as I can. The French look to have some of the strongest players worldwide and are not that far away travel wise, so I will look to go to as many as I can in addition to what is going on in the UK.

Playing the French guys won't hurt, I'm sure it's not as simple as that to be any good at the game - I could find that I am just terrible at it!

UK onliners take note... This shit is hardcore! :P

Eurostar to Paris is very expensive. Cheapest options are coach or even flying there. I'm also very interested in going to the Gnouz events but it is damn expensive.

Cheers for the words of encouragement.

Not that I dont appreciate now, but I'll appreciate them even more when I'm doing it...words and intentions are easy!

Yeah.i agree about Omega.
Yesterday i won the game thanks to a little tournament in my city. I find the game very weird. Anyone can tell me whats the point of an unsafe 2kb (hit)??OMG
Anyway Im coming soon to play UK players. Till then i'll may play online cause i heard the online is a bit better. Is that true?

To reitierate what I said on Neo Empire, thanks so much to everone who came down for this, and everyone who watched the stream. This was a really great day for UK Soulcalibur.

Congartulations to Talon for winning the tournament, you will be really badly missed in Cannes.
