Greatone, i dunno what the hell was up with last night. I have no idea why you couldn't join, even after you joined my xbox party. sorry for all the pain, :( next time you host.
 
Yeah I don't know what happened. I got so frustrated I just had to turn it off. Sorry y'all I couldn't make it today but I'm sure y'all had fun with Sweets. I'll hear about it when he gets home. Hopefully we can all make it next week. Hey Tac, do Saturday's still work for you?
 
I'm working on that. I'm going to try to devote more time to my game programming after I either get a job or go on unemployment, so Friday could work again. Saturday has just been shit since for me these past 2 weeks because I keep having interviews on Monday or other things come up.
 
How was it tonight? Are we feeling the SFIV love, or is everyone pretty much only SC? I really like SF, but not having a pimp controller is even worse for SF than for SC...
 
it went well, SFIV made an appearance before the SC started. if it's cool with you tac, i agree with cam that we should try friday next week since i think that's easier on everyone's schedule.
 
That sounds good to me. I'm sure Sweets would appreciate it as long as they don't change his schedule again. See y'all there. Do I bring my console again?
 
I don't really feel qualified to comment on SFIV other than to say that move execution and combo timing is fucking hard. You apparently can't buffer combos and the average jab speed is about 4 frames, so every link in a combo feels like JF timing. Once you get the timing down it might be good game though, it's hard to tell; I'm basically a huge know-nothing scrub who is trying to main Gen (haha!)

The inputs make me wish I could use a keyboard for them.
 
Sure, I can definitely bring it then. I think we need the cables to hook up to Cam's monitor. That is if Tac can't make it.
 
you'll need the VGA adapter to hook up to the monitor. So if you only have the component hookups, you're SOL. I should be there though. Cam can pick up the cables from me at work sometime though, since I'll probably not be there till after 7. Also, i'm not sure what revision your xbox is, but hopefully the power supply works. My power supply is the V1 kill a baby seal one, so it works will all xbox's, but if you have a newer power supply, it can only work with the newer xbox's.
 
We got another Seattle player guys! Swithin, he just joined the site. Lies, did you play with him before? He said he used to be in the scene. he is a caliburforum.com refugee. I don't know him personally, but just spotted him in a thread.
 
Hey guys. You probably don't know me because I never did the online hook-up thing. I may have met some of you at various Sakura Cons over the years. And oddly enough I worked with Zig21 a couple years back (I got a job at the company my gf worked at to get more time with her, and she knew him from the SC2 scene and pointed him out - Zig, if you're still around, you probably have no f'ing clue who I am.)

Anyway, in short - long time Siggy player. My relative skills have been as follows: SC1>SC4>SC3>SB>SC2. I'm rusty as hell, so I'll try to practice up a bit during spring break. Anyone *not* playing Taki will probably get some easy rounds off me the first few sessions. Anyone playing Taki... I'm sorry. :D

I'm back in school (at 27 - shameful, I know,) so I don't really have a ton of free time, and I'm committed to a gaming group every other Saturday, but hopefully I'll actually meet the Seattle crew at last. So... uh... are we any good? We're the best, right? Right?

Anyway, how do game nights usually go? The casual snacks-drinks-'til-5am thing?
 
Hey Swithin, don't think we've ever met, unless you used to play on the UW's SC2 machine under the hub.

The current plan is for Soul Calibur casuals each Friday evening, 6:30ish, at my Redmond appt. Feel free to show up if you want to play- PM me and I'll send you the address/directions.
 
Actually, I played that SC2 cab when it first appeared... and hated it. XD I never could get into 2, we kept on playing SC until 3 came out.

I won't be able to make this week for certain, but we'll trade PMs. I used take 520 home every night from Redmond, Fridays were either really good or really bad. I just have to remind myself it's not the same thing east-bound.
