[Seattle, WA] Ragin' in the Rain

Jdaco: I am not confident enough in my ability to play this game to go to a major tournament, haha... I'll keep to smaller places till I think I'm good enough to take anyone on, but that's like, miles away.

You shouldn't worry about your skill level. Northwest Majors 2012 was my very first tournament, and I sucked complete ass back then. I was a bigger scrub than certain Algol players. I even met a guy who literately didn't know how to play the game, but entered anyways. A Cervantes player was teaching him how to play Pat right before their match. I thought that was really cool of him. Point is, you should go just for the hell of it. Also, I'm probably going so what I want to know is, what time is it going to start and will it finish on the same day?

Here are the details from Heaton
TIME
4PM Saturday (Tentative)

FEES
- $5 tournament entry
- Double Elimination

RULES
- http://8wayrun.com/wiki/tournament-ruleset/

HARDWARE
- Running on PS3
- Bring Your Own Controller

I'll also be adding one of these to the pot: (http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Soulcalibur-Arcade-Stick-Playstation-3/dp/B006WVR982).

I only have my one setup, so let me know ASAP if you can donate one to help get things running more smoothly.

An additional setup is being provided by 3.14lot

Because it's a side tournament, it is exempt from the $50 registration fee at the door, but there is a $10 "participation badge" you must pay for as well. This will finish on Saturday as well.

EDIT: I just realized it's been nearly two months since my last post...

TylerGoodGuy here,

I'm hosting a Soul Calibur 2 stream at www.twitch.tv/relytgg every Monday. The cast won't be any celebrities (except the occasional ZigMover21), but it will be from players from the Seattle area. A lot of old school style memories, and the people playing are competant so it won't be a button mashing festival.

Everyone is welcome to watch if you enjoyed Soul Calibur 2 at all. This isn't to hype up a return to the game, but just an announcement about the stream. :)

Cheers, and hope to see you guys in the chat.

~TGG

Hey thanks for watching!

I'll be streaming every Monday starting at 6PM. The group of players are from around the Redmond area, not too much player diversity or character diversity, but the competition is decent and that's what matters.
We are playing at my place in Redmond, if you are interested in showing, send me a PM and I'll give you the details. We are playing the XBOX version, so we are using the 360 controllers. Feel free to bring your own stick if you wish.

Let me know if you have anymore questions!

I gotta unlock lizard man, assassin, and berzerker still. I keep forgetting.

Hey guys,

TGG here. We'll be streaming again tonight! Hopefully some old school soul calibur 2 evo players (SLA) and others will show up later. Stream starts @ or around 6:00 PM PST.

Hey so are we still doing casuals at super smash games every thursday. Been a while since I've seen you guys.

Hello everyone TwoSwords here, I'm new to 8WR's forum and looking to play people locally and fit in to the more competitive crowd of Soul Calibur. If any, please fill me in on local spots for casuals and tournaments I would greatly appreciate that. I look forward to playing with everyone that enjoys Soul Calibur as much as me.

As for my location in Washington I'm live in Tacoma this might you help you help me. :)

Next gameclucks event is the 17th of August. On a side note. I finally got my own monitor guys. 27 inches. word.
