Shred apart! Ivy Punishment Charts

our 3B destroys his 3 (B) unless my sieg guy is doing something very very wrong. steps the B and K and it's faster than the A. CH on all 3.

That only works when Siegfried is very close to Ivy. Also 3B trades with SCH A. Siegfried can avoid Ivy's 3B with chief hold side step (2_8B+K)

Be careful with Ivy 3B against Sieg 3(B). Ivy 3B isn't faster than SCH A it trades with A, you will still get a guaranteed 6B8 though. Siegfried can bait Ivy 3B with his 3(B) and do a 2B+K.

Edit: lol nvm Ring answered, while I was writing this.
Edit 2: Don't know if it's the best solution: Try backstepping, wait for him to do something and whiff punish; this beats all his options. Be careful of SCH KK the 2nd has to be ducked even after backstep.

Don't forget Siegfried can also do 3(B), 6, SCH K which will track and beat out Ivy's 3B. It's especially dangerous when he uses the BE version.

Not to be totally annoying, but DAMN, Ivy's list is like 3X that of the others. =P Is this a joke?

It just says to me that Ivy may have a larger move list, but she is not in any way considered safe... (Which was my worry early release with her)

It depends on how you use most moves. A lot of moves get depending on the match up at tip range safe. Imo she can be played annoyingly safe.

I just need to amp up my judgement as for when to throw them out, I end up getting hit badly due to mis judging ranges.

Amen. I don't know how people fight at tip range with her, since whiffing even one of her mid range moves = death.

^it's possible, depending on how your opponent spaces and what character he uses. I don't even bother hitting NM at tip range with Ivy's mid-range tools. Especially against those NM type players, who are trying to bait a whiff all the time.

Yes, but if you try to punish his 3B with 1B BE, and he delays the second BE hit, you die.

Something interesting vs Xiba. When I first did his punishment list, 6BK or 6BK BE could only be interrupted with Ivy's 6KB at far range, but now I did some testing again and it seems 6KB completely rapes his transitions after 6B and 6A at any range for a free 55-60 dmg.So either I was wrong, or my Xiba chart was pre-patch.

On top of that, 6KB is a forced block on Xiba (he cannot duck the B part) so we don't risk whiff punishment here! Really cool.

Another option is to 2A every time after 6B and 6A, he ends up BTed so we get a throw/FC1B mixup.

Xiba's 6A is so good VS Ivy =/ it has sick range and speed, kills backdash and step, and combos for 80dmg on a CH with BE (which is hit-confirmable)
