With the removal of critical finishes - is SRSH A+B really that big of a loss do you think?
CFs alone isn't what makes RSH'A+B good. The long range mid helps to mix with long range highs vs crouching or stepping. SC5's RSH'A alone might get frequently crouched because without a RSH'A+B-like move, there's no reason not to crouch at far range. Without a long range mid variation from the same stance, SC5 RSH'A could be somewhat useless, not entirely but.. yea.

SC4 RSH'A+B's big push back + SSH'A+B's retreat = Zoning-bread-&-butter. I play zoning "can't touch me?" style with these two moves even in SC2 (NLS'A+B + NSSr'bA) n_n. I'm all into range play, "I have a ZWEIHANDER, no reason for me to get close at all as long as I have more HP left.

I think the good about SC5 RSH'A is that at least is faster than SC4's, but the game in general is faster..

So, does SC5 have lesser moves than SC4? Which are less moves than SC3, which are less moves than SC2. I don't its that bad to simplify sometimes, but more variety within a character means more effective ways to play it & not falling into a "best way only" to play a character. The BEs might fill-in that variety element in SC5, but for how long before it gets optimized in core-play?

I like playing Sig, watching Sig battles & knowing that I play differently, I mean, its me there.. on the display picture at the left of this post heheheh :P

I love SC5 Sieg. I think he will be very strong in SC5 after playing him the most all weekend. I just wish i had agA down on a stick :D.

normally, one would set all lower buttons to G on stick. Set your third along to A+G - it doesn't interfere with JUKEs and so long as your finger leaves the second G it will register normally.

Poor diagram, but like this:
O\ O O O
O \O- O O

yeah i normally do
A B K
G A G A :D (IAGA ALL DAY!)

But the buttons were set up tekken style

A B
G K (A+B+K)

So to do aGA i had to use the slide with 2 finger technique which I wasn't used to.

I use a HORI RAP 3 and my config to do agA is
A-A-B-B+G
A-G-K-A+K
So I can just slide my finger and find an A button very close :D
I can slide X-O for ag then tap square to complete the command... just find your own way... in SCV I will play on stick always.

My pad since Soul Blade is:
[]=A /\=A R1=G
X=B O=K
Only thumb & index finger)

I do agA by sliding my thumb from [] to /\ & tap R1 in between the slide. I lubricate my thumb with my forehead's sweat to slide consistently without burning my thumb. The agA comes out when I tap R1 at the right timing. This way helps me to prevent grabbing accidentally.

Nah, we have already settled our difference. Everything is cool between us now, we hang around on wastelands, warrior's graveyards & we're looking for some nice grass & mushrooms from the dead to smoke it, & we trip a lot while meeting the dead & gaining their knowledge, its really fun. Nightmare is now my very best friend n_n
Last time I meat my dead-dad while tripping with NM, & he ask: "Son, ftw is that?". I said: "that's me after killing you dad, imagination is strong in me, huh?" We both laughed while NM is like "ooo-k, whatever they mean.."

So yea, we're cool..
those were goooood shrooms.. ooyea n_n

I love Siegfried in SC3 cause he have so many options available; there wasn't just one way to play as Siegfried... now in SC4 we have to rely on spacing and poke game so much... while landing moves were very good; RSH B was good on near and mid range... I like how they change my stylish dancer Siegfried to a more violent Siegfried, is a good chance of pace... I hope they give Siegfried an horizontal (HIGH?) UB and more 66k follow_ups. I hope they consider to give Siegfried the ability to throw while on stance... something like that would be really mind blowing for me.

Ok, so we just recieved Ring's SCV writup on Ivy in depth, really interesting read, I recommend everyone to take a look at it here.
So, how does this apply to Siegfried players you may ask? Ring also mentioned (And being one of the best and most experienced players in Europe, I trust his judgement) that currently, Siegfried is the strongest character in SCV!!!!!

Now this may be subject to change, however we are 3 months away from release and I doubt he will be changed significantly, so to all my fellow Manfrieds: The wait is over, NAMCO has rewarded our dedication to mediocrity and good luck to all of us in Soul Calibur V!
And to all the tier whores out there - I will be among the first to laugh at you when you start maining him =P

Discuss people ^_~.
