But his movelist is just so massive that i'm just completely lost. At this stage i'm not looking to master him, i just want to get some basic stuff i should know or a "Top 10 Moves" or something. I know that every person plays him diferentely and that i should "find my own style", but right now i've just been using his "signature" moves for the most part XD

As everyone is going to say, and this is beating a dead horse that has already been rotting for 10 weeks..... learn iMCF. There is a huge difference between a player who can use it, and player who cant. Another good move is a:b+k, because both are very fast and lead to nice combos on CH.

Another thing to learn too is to learn his stances because they are too good against wakeup.

well.. as a good START I guess learn to use his dragonfly stance into B or K on wake (if they are tending to get up really fast) and 3B when they are getting up slow. Don't use 3B really unless in a combo for the most part. Look up and decide what air combo you'll try for whenever you launch. Use his (double any direction) A+B and mix it up with (double any direction) A+B G into grapple or a low. Use his iFC 3K a bunch (especially online....). Use BB and AA whenever the person seems to be acting too offensive and isn't fricken blocking...(think bad maxi players ..lol). Like cicada said, learn imcf...but that isn't as necessary as the other stuff right off the bat. If you know when...use 6K 2K as a good punisher against a lot of the slower recovery moves. As always, a good defense leads to free damage usually... If you feel like it..play with his tekken moves a little...they are pretty good but at first its better to learn to play him without worryin about the timer. Ummm.. a:b+k is good for a nice tech trap on counter and its really useful as part of a juggle combo (although for starters might be just easier to go with 6K into a tech trap until you get the timing down so u can land the just about 90% of the time or more). DNK is a really good move both as a juggle off small bounces as well as a good move sometimes on wake. Learn 1 (only need one for starters) wall combo that does at least 90 damage so you can make sure u can do well when you hit them into a wall. His grapples are actually really good...so abuse them (even if you get a sour look for grappling too much). seriously you only need about 10-20 moves with yoshi and you shouldn't bother tryin to incorporate all of his moves into your game. That is why everyone plays yoshi at least a bit different.

I have learned a:b+k and have even started using it in combos. I know you guys probably know this one already but 3b, a:b+k, 66b seems pretty solid. a:b+k is awesome for ring outs! I'm having alot of trouble with iMCF though. After like 10 minutes of trying to do it i got regular MCF 3 times and never got a single iMCF. Do you just have to do it ridiculously fast or what because this is just insane.

Regular MCF is accessed from crouch. iMCF can only be done from standing.

Excessive_Orange: keep practicing iMCF, it is well worth the trouble to learn. Just do it really really fast, iMCF is a 1 frame slide from A to B, and A cannot be held down when B is pressed.

3B a:B+K 66B is not guaranteed. You can either use 1B to catch side techs or just use 6K/DNK/33BB+K for guaranteed damage.

you play yoshi elto? help me I so fail with him

yes, iMCF is pretty much a super fast flick of down and an ab slide at the same time. If it doesn't make a fuckin annoying ass loud sound when you are doing it...your doin it too slow..lol. (I've had friends complain while I play yoshi because of the sound.. my girlfriend hated the sound of it A LOT. A good way to get the timing... is to first learn how to do setsuka's jf umbrella. With her crouch and hold 3 while crouching. Then flick aB REALLY fast (should be kinda loud). If you get the just out ... then you have found the speed needed for iMCF. Then just learn to flick the 2 (down) at the same time as the aB and you'll have your iMCF... once you start to get it about 10% of the time its just a matter of attempting it more to get it up near 50% or better. Also learn to do it after a few trap moves such as 6A. So learning to time doing it after a move is also necessary once u get being able to do the move at all (cuz it lacks range)
