So since this seems to be perenial topic of interest on this SA, I think maybe a thread is in order.

Twin Angel Step(236236) and FC Angel Step (FC236) both push Sophie low enough to the ground to get under some mids. This property doesn't last too long, so timing it takes some getting used to, but it will give advantage or possibly whiff punish if it works. Two important points to note are 1) Sophie gets this benefit quicker from FC AS and 2) if you do FC TAS you will cancel the property into a normal TC a la AS.

As has been pointed out doing iFC236 is made reasonbly easy to perform by holding G giving it to you as standing option.

This is just a start, but here is a list of mid attacks that TAS / FC AS will escape. I have not included highs because you can obviously go under those too. Most of these are of the sort you have to predict, so this is likely not to be tremendously useful, but it might still be worth knowing.

Wow... after looking at that list and testing a few them... wtf? 44B+K? 66K? And look at how many of sophie's WR moves can be dodged. It almost seems safe to just throw this out if enemy sophie RCs or you force crouch her.

You gotta be kidding me, Raph's best mids, stance moves, and WR moves as well as his step killing moves all dodgeable? What's he got left to beat out a G236~B, 2K?

I might just stop playing online and practice all of these, the dodges are just too good.
 
Just something I saw, but sieg has a 3KKB, not a 3KKK.

This would be an interesting strategy to fight against and I wonder if I'll see any of this used against me someday?
 
Thanks for catching that. I thought the head butt was a K because it was a body attack.

As Sophie I don't think I'd try to float a TCS in anticipation of attacks against Seig except maybe on a SCH transition since most of his mids will hit anyway. Even then there's usually something better if at all.
 
I'm getting alot of hate mail when I actually pull off G236 against shit that it probably shouldn't dodge...mostly NM's 1A/1[A] lol.
 
That's pretty good, I hadn't checked that one. It also goes under kilik's 2A which looks similarly weird.
 
Alright I got a couple more characters on there now, all thats missing is SW and yoshi.
