Oooooh, I return to the forums only to realize there is hope for SC to return and what is best, its likely to be revealed in December! I think I'm gonna have an orgasm. Okay, based on said info, lets see what I can comment on:

-> Soul Calibur VI is for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. No info on an Xbox One version yet. It doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but don't be surprised if there isn't one.
It seems like many developers have been avoiding XB1 for some reason, I own a PS3, so I'll end up migrating for a PS4, but I still find that quite annoying, I'd hate if the contrary happened as well.
The thing I heard was the cause or most likely cause for the delay was the implementation of a moveset / style switching thing in particular (like having multiple movesets per character, weapons even). Since that not working out how they wanted was such a big deal to its direction and draw to the game, delaying it until they either figured it out or decided to ultimately nix it was something they went back-and-forth on but was retained in a certain capacity, however. You will understand what I mean by this eventually.
Hmm, they were likely trying some sort of Mortal Kombat X style variation thing. If its staying to a certain degree, it could be because of CAS, maybe the creations can pick moves from multiple movesets? It has a chance to be weird, but also to be really cool.
-> Kilik is back and uses his staff moveset again, not the Weapon Master thing that everyone hated on SCV. He will have a new rival too.
And hopefully only ONE character will have the random thing going. Its a way of giving you a challenge, but it was absurd for them to do that to THREE characters. That also may mean that SCV will be deleted from the canon, like people suspected (some characters had their profiles reverted to SCIV or straight up deleted). I wonder what that will make of Xiba, the idea of Kilik and Xianghua having a son wasn't bad and he is a really loveable character, but it really sucks that his only purpose was to inherit Kilik's moveset, specially when Kilik was already in the game to begin with.
-> Gameplay and mechanically, Supers are back and as far back as July, there was some kind of universal mechanic like V-Triggers.
Hmm, I like that. Hopefully some of them will be more cinematic like Patroklos' one. Seriously, Mitsurugi's one was a regular attack in previous games, it looked so stupid.
-> Huge focus on story elements.
YES!!! SO MUCH FUCKING YES!!! If SCVI is gonna delete SCV, this will be so necessary, because SCV's story was a total mess, it was terrible in developing characters, terrible in dealing with events, it looked like a poor sketch of a story. Hopefully they will clear up what was canon and what wasn't in SCIV.
-> I know of two veteran characters at the moment. I can't say who quite yet. But they're very obvious inclusions that aren't surprising at all. They were both on SCV. They aren't characters who originated on SCV. I don't know any of the characters introduced on V that are returning or not yet. These two characters have been on every numbered entry since introduced, but were introduced in different games.
If by "every numbered entry" he means from SC2 on, and not SC1 (which is not technically numbered) these two are obviously Mitsurugi/Siegfried and Ivy. And they indeed will not surprise anyone.
-> I know of three newcomers. The one that I know the most about is very unique and different, being a first ever for the series mechanically. Their unique weapon style is blade based. This character is important to the story, but not the main focal character.
Hmmmm... I fail to see how a character can be unique with a blade. Unless he/she uses it as a boomerang, maybe? He throws blades and they return to him, like that blond girl from Killer Instinct? I wonder if this is Kilik's rival, since its important to the story. It could be maybe a ghost or undead version of Xianglian?
-> The other new character has ties to the aforementioned.
Not really a surprise.
-> The third new character I know about is suspected to be a Fire Emblem character for reasons I cannot divulge.
Meh, hopefully its not an ACTUAL Fire Emblem character. It could be someone who just looks like someone from that game or has a very similar unique weapon. I don't think Namco should add another console-exclusive character in the game. Link being limited was already annoying enough.
