Waifus meaning what? Women?Hell no we don't need more waifus.
Almost, virtual sexy female girl, and really SC VI have a Lot of female chars instead to beWaifus meaning what? Women?
Waifu is a term used between fans of anime and Japanese manga. This term comes from a Japanese adaptation of the word "wife", and is used by fans to refer to a female character that he likes very much.Waifus meaning what? Women?
LOL, thank you Lisa, but I do know what a waifu is. This isn't my first day on the internet. :) The point of my comment was that the criteria being used in this instance seems to be "all female" characters--as has become increasingly commonly the case anytime that word comes up on these boards (and for all I know, most similar forums). I agree with ElegantRaven on this one; if the word is just going to be used scattershot to describe all female characters, then it's starting become something like a slur against the gender, rather than having it's usual more specific meaning. I might not have jumped straight to "vitriolic" like ER...but I'm also not saying she's wrong..View attachment 60532

The male version of a Waifu is a husbando, a word formed by a husband.
What exactly do you mean by "abuse"? Once the season pass finishes, female characters will be roughly 40% of the roster, and this will go down further with a second season. What strikes you as a reasonable proportion of female characters?female chars are awesome however abuse is ridiculous.

Oh, ok--noted.Hey, just letting you know I identify as gender neutral but the "she" pronoun doesn't actually apply to me, I'm male :p I can understand the mix up though considering my icon, I'm gay lol
Oh, I was definitely thinking that the word, when used in that way, is misogynistic, before I saw your post. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise--but I know these boards well enough to know what comes after you describe a gender issue in those terms here, so you can handle that hand-grenade yourself. :DIt's an incredibly weak and irritating talking point and comes off as really dismissive towards the idea of female characters in muh video games. I hesitate to call it sexist...tl;dr: It's just a really toxic talking point, and comes off as slightly sexist even if that's not the intent.
Respectfully Sytus, you don't seem to have remotely tracked the meaning of my comments, so please go back and re-read before you ask me to "please stop". Using the term waifu may be a pretty harmless description of a social phenomena as it is usually applied, but the use that ER and I are pointing out here is a different meaning altogether. It's the "all women=automatically waifu" line, which is not just a) a person being extremely histrionic about the idea that female characters can be compelling in their own right, but also b) is a direct insult to every individual who ever supports a female character, regardless of the circumstances--it's an attempt to seize the high ground by creating a narrative for why anyone might want any such character--i.e., they can only be a crazed otaku. Like that's literally the only case to ever want a female character. In other words, an ad hominem--a logical fallacy, a non-argument that tars all opponents with the same feather without actually reaching to the merits of the question. ER is correct, that is toxic and not just with regard to the very idea of more women being in the game, but also towards a majority of fans who have no problem with plenty of female characters, who are just being drive-by insulted by the way the word is being used here. Please stop, this makes you sound completely out of touch with meme culture and puts a huge negative spin on something that's a form of endearment and brightens up people's day. If you don't get it you don't get it, just don't be a busybody.

Theoretically, it should be broken up just the same as it was in SoulCalibur IV. I can't really come up with any reasonable justification for why it would be any different. So it should be four parts: Lace (neck), Dress (mid body), Socks (...socks), and Boots (feet).Anyone know if Amy's SC4 outfit will come in pieces, or an everything outfit like 2B's?
When the game has more than 50% women, THEN you can complain there's too many, not before. I'm not saying the game needs a 50/50 split, is not necessary, but as long as women are below 50% saying there are too many to add another is simply being a jerk to everyone who likes women characters. Is neither inclusive, nor productive.Hell no we don't need more waifus.
Maybe Bangoo's mother was a badass Native American woman and she can show up seeking her son.I would totally go for a barbarian girl character. Even tho I still would preffer Rock that is perhaps the only replacement I could personally go for
Orphan is fine as it leaves questions which can have unexpected answers. Hell Chooli could be a long lost older sister seeking her brother Bangoo. Or as I said, maybe the mother was presumed dead.Sorry, I misread your post, thank you for the correction. And yes, lore wise Bangor is an orphan.
